The Redemption of Henry Myers (2014)
Heartwarming
I'm not sure why everyone is so down on this movie. I liked the story of redemption, the ability to forgive, and love being extended to one needing it most. That is the message of hope in Jesus Christ.
I didn't find the acting amateurish nor the script ordinary. In fact. It's a movie I'd watch again and recommend to others.
I've always loved westerns so I'm glad that was the setting. The bad guys were a bit over the top but they often are portrayed this way in westerns I've seen.
Overall I think the movie was good. Even the kid actors did a good job in their parts. The leads were excellent.
Undercover Bridesmaid (2012)
Really?
It could have been fun, but ended up too over the top to be either a comedy or suspenseful. Gave up watching after about 20 minutes.
Sweet Magnolias (2020)
Down to earth
I loved the interaction between friends/families, the importance of friendships at every age and faith to build it on. I binged watched over 2 days. I really hope it gets another season. I miss it already.
Emma Fielding Mysteries: More Bitter Than Death (2019)
Not believable in spots
She just happened to remember a tunnel system they ran under campus buildings but when the museum was built no one thought to be sure it couldn't be broken into and the square in the floor was left there? And she lifted 2 blocks of flooring up like they we're nothing and yet nothing seemed to support them and no floor joists ran through those spots. What!!!????
