Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
A parody of MCU films
This movie never takes itself serious at all. Any time I think the movie is going to move forward they increase the humor. It really comes across as a parody of hero films. The story was there, it just didn't make it to screen. The actors were fine with the material they had to deal with. It was just again, no one took the roles serious. Let's go for laughs at every turn. A little humor goes a long way. This makes The Three Stooges look like a drama. Gorr could have been a worthy scary villain but instead is just a sad revenge filled man. Thor is trying to be a Thor clown at all times. I cannot even figure which character I liked it this movie.
Constantine (2014)
Brilliant use of comic book form FINALLY!!!!!
Many might remember Keanu Reeves' Constantine movie. While a good movie it had nothing to do with the comic book character John Constantine. This TV series seems so far to be going back to the comic books and finally getting this character pretty darn close. He's a Brit. Blond. Trenchcoat. Miserable as all. And finally I saw him smoke a cigarette. THAT is John Constantine. I just fear that NBC will not give this show a chance. I hope they do and keep the characters and stories where they come from, the comic books. I have not seen Matt Ryan in anything else but he is spot on brilliant in this role. Plucked straight from the comics. Yes I am heavy on referring to the comics because that is where John comes from. Zedd is more mysterious in the comic and does not hang around so much but we need a female in the show and she can do it. I'm not sure about the Angel but let's see what he brings. This show though is all about one person and they are doing that person justice.
Chaos (2011)
Poor character development
I finally decided to catch up with this show on my DVR before they cancel it. I found it to be a fun show but poorly written in some areas. I found a big problem with the character of Rick Martinez. He is suppose to be some language savant yet in one episode he had to ask the Russian woman what she had said. Huh?????? Shame on the network for showing the episodes out of order as that confused me as well. I do believe this show would need a couple of seasons to make us care about the people in it but I do not think we will get that.
In closing, do they really need to wear suits to every single mission they go on?
