More episodes please

I know this series is meant for the Noggin app. But upon seeing three segments on Nick Jr., I wish we could see some more on TV.

Rocky struggles to get out of the shadows
30 December 2019
Exactly six decades ago, a grey flying tree rodent debut in a TV series. For a while, he was on top of the world. But so far, this was the only time he actually shined. Later in 2000, whoever owns Rocky tried to revive him. Unfortunately, a feature film that bombed and a lackluster television reboot did nothing to help Rocky's star shine again. As sad it is to say, it seems any attempt to resurrect him has been futile. I wonder why?

As to what I can say about this movie, Rocky was sort of making a comeback in the 1990s, and this movie was suppose to boost his return. Instead, it pretty much buried him.

Although I play a Rocky video game once in a while, I can't say that I'm a fan of that flying squirrel. However, I do thought restoring his popularity a bit. As to what suggestion I would give to whoever owns that moose and squirrel, perhaps it's to pick a kid actor to be that buck-toothed flyer. Maybe that'll help.

Rocky returns to the tube but continues to disregard tradition
12 May 2018
Following a TV career decades ago as well as two lackluster films, the moose and squirrel come back for another go on TV. As you can see in this site, not many here are impress by the duo's return. Not even me.

Since making his debut appearance back in the 1960s, Rocky has been voiced by adults as I read in Wikipedia. When the character's long-time voice left this world, I thought this would be the time for a considerable change. In fact I was hoping the studio would cast a kid actor to the role of Rocky. I think using a kid actor would be more complimentary and more fitting to the character, considering Rocky is presented as a young squirrel. Sadly, that didn't happen. Therefore I'm disappointed.

When looking at the screenshots, the appearances of the characters look a little distorted. But I guess that's the new standard for animated shows these days.

Weak spin-off
18 February 2018
When a movie or TV show releases to a good reception, there's a chance anyone associated with the media would create a spin-off. In case you don't know, a spin-off is a media certaining on a character or characters who aren't the protagonists in the previous media. For some reason, Unikitty, a pink cat and unicorn thing, got sufficient attention from the Lego film that she probably deserve to have her own media.

Upon briefly seeing an episode about some birthday, I suppose it's a decent show. We have the title character Unikitty who's cute and hot-tempered, a dog-unicorn thing named Puppycorn who is her younger sibling, as well various other weird characters. Plot and gags are okay. The voice acting fits all the characters except for Puppycorn. Sure his voice is sorta cute but utterly unauthentic.
