The Bear: Braciole (2022)
Great ending
Just a well written tight ending to a high anxiety story. This story has caused me to take a break, every episode, from its intense storyline. This show has the same level of intensity that "Succession" has with a smaller cast and a much simpler set. The acting is great, top marks to white and Bacharach and the rest of the crew. This is some Emmy level writing and acting. To which I hope they are awarded. I think they should not go to a second season it would seem to be untenable to out do the first season. I look forward to more from the writers and director. Making a review contain 600 words is a pain.
Devs: Episode #1.7 (2020)
Brilliant
Simply a well written story. Great score. Beautiful cinematography. I look forward to more work by Alex Garland. Self determination or deterinimistic.
Maniac: Furs by Sebastian (2018)
OMG
The randomness in this show is genius. "That's a go "f" yourself lemur! ". I believe that should be on a tee shirt. Great casting! Not quite on the level of Arrested Development or Soap.
The Good Place: Whenever You're Ready (2020)
What a great ending!
A very nice ending to a very funny show.
The true joy of mystery
Night on Earth (2020)
Beautiful
I think it is beautifully filmed.
The narration is maybe a little too much
The sound effects are perhaps even more over the top.
War of the Worlds (2005)
one sentence with spoiler
I enjoyed the movie greatly, and i will sum it up like this: alien farmers land on earth and tom cruise gets his children back to his ex- wife a day early while the major theme of War of the Worlds unfolds around him. The special effects were not over done and not the primary focus of the film. the story does leave some perplexing questions, such as when and why the aliens buried their war/farming equipment on earth
I wish other directors would consider doing other h. g. wells stories. he has some interesting ideas. when you put wells in the context of the period he was writing he is as forward thinking as a man can be, not just sci-fi, but some of his social /political stories as well.
