I never post a comment

I've watched a lot of fiction, including heavy stuff, but watching this, as reality not fiction, was amazingly and unbelievably hurtful.

Please, this kid is not to blame by himself, we as a society failed him tragically.

Aside from the obvious and gigantic issues since childhood, maybe he watched too many fiction from a Young age, and could note process his emotions and the separation fiction/reality correctly.

Either way, he was neglected and we as society should take this for the future.

Definitely recommend a view, but for the strong hearted and not easibly impressed.

This is severely underrated!

It´s a great and ambitious parabole at our own existence as human beings.

Intriguing from start to end, and leaving you thinking about it.

Outrageous interesting ideas mixed with an okay acting.

A pretty good watch!

A somewhat realistic superhero movie
27 September 2017
First of all, i would like to point out that i am not an extreme comics and superhero fan of any sort. But i do appreciate those type of movies.

As such i will say that this movie is not an usual superhero flick.

It has few violence/action scenes, although effective, and builds up on tense and dramatic storyline/characters.

It is mostly a good drama, starred once again by the perfect-for- the-role Hugh Jackman, who manages to create a dark and suspenseful feeling and interest for the story.

It is somehow a conclusion to the characters'story, but the plot sometimes feels too rushed and unconvincing.

It is not a masterpiece, nor it does have an unflawed plot, but it is well paced and pleasantly shines thanks to a dark, very human, grumpy and old Wolverine/Hugh Jackman.

Tries too much to be something that could never be

I understand that this is a low budget movie, but i can find some equally styled and budgeted flicks with a lot more quality and purpose.

Although i understand this is the point, the storyline is not plausible at all, it is overacted (and badly) and filled with unnecessary and pointless sexual and violent innuendo. And i say innuendo , because the scenes are so poorly executed that it is well visible it is not real.

For me this seemed a parody with no sense nor good taste.

Weak plot (better done in another hundred movies), unlikable and not credible characters, and a very predictable story line.

Apart all the sex and violence, it felt somehow like a movie for kids.

Fascinating!

What more is there to say?

From a director we are used to giving us excellent movies, it is well acted, original, funny, dramatic, surreal and it sends out a powerful message. A touching story with beautiful landscapes and great CGI.

It's adventure/drama/fantasy at its finest for the whole family.

A word to Mikja which is wonderfully portrayed by the young Korean actress.

An intense and gripping post apocalyptic story
24 September 2017
The pace of the movie is very slow and that is why i think most people didn't like it.

I personally enjoyed it, it's tense, original and strange in its own style.

You don't get a satisfying payback from the story, but once again Armipour puts her unique style over substance and delivers well enough one more time. In a post apocalyptic genre which is already very explored in cinema, it was original enough for me.

Slow paced but intriguing movie with some famous and almost unrecognizable actors.

A tough time
22 September 2017
First of all, i am a big fan of mystery movies and i enjoy Aronofsky past work.

I personally liked this one. It blew my mind as i think it did to almost everyone. That's why so many people hated it, but to be pretentious was the point... and that's OK.

It was very difficult to decipher the message, only to be revealed by the author.

Knowing this, i believe that the movie tried a bit too much. In the second part of the film, there were a lot of violent, nonsense and overwhelming situations. This was a bit too much. I left the theater tired.

Knowing now the message, i think this could have been done in a more interesting and subtle way. It was too ambitious.

Pity, because the idea is very good and original! The movie is also emphasized by a very good performance from Jennifer Lawrence

I recommend it to every open minded spirit!

Good mystery horror movie
22 September 2017
El Bar is yet another good Spanish horror/thriller movie.

It doesn't give you much scares and is a bit predictable, but the plot is good, well explored and the characters/actors did a good job.

It was a simple story but at the end something kind of felt to be missing. There's no satisfying pay off to the story but the ride is good and fun.

Worth a watch

Strong comeback. Don't worry hardcore black humor fans...
21 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Although it seemed the one storyline through all episodes strategy in last seasons didn't work, i enjoyed it. It's a different approach, i think i can understand why people didn 't like it. I myself also prefer the original kind of episodes.

As so, and coming back to this strategy in the new season, i think they delivered.

Funny, bits of good dark humor and a storyline that it's funny at the same time it sends a subliminal message, this time in my perspective not taking so much one of the sides but giving both perspectives well enough. The message was meaningful and important also.

I am also waiting for some ludicrous black humor and situations, but don't worry because i think that is being built up for the following episodes!

Cheers
