Exposed (2016)
Horrible Movie
Just awful!
This is not one movie. But two entirely separate movies. One is in Spanish (with English subtitles) about a Latina woman having visions and struggling with her Latin family's heritage. The other is about Keanu sleepwalking as part of solving his partner's murder. For a long time the movie goes back and forth between these two stories without the slightest connection. Then suddenly the stories are forced to merge.
Horrible acting. Bad writing. Bad, bad direction. Everything is lousy in this film.
Movies like this one should be a must-see in all film schools. "Exposed" should serve as an example of how many people it takes to make a movie and yet it can turn out this badly.
One can see by the opening credits that there must have been six production and financing companies involved. It is inconceivable that the producers, financiers and others from those companies just put out the money, saw this movie in progress, or the premiere, and were OK with it.
Simply inconceivable.
Do not believe the "6.3" (from 146 users!!!!) rating of this movie. These are friends of producers or production crew trying to recoup their money. All lies.
Just to give you an example: "Declan Dale" is the name of the director in the credits. But "Declan Dale" is like "Alan Smithee", a name that directors use when they want not to be associated with the film.
Even the Director wants his name off of this piece of junk. That's how bad this movie is!
3 Nights in the Desert (2014)
Horrible Movie!
Absoluetly awful! i don't know who they paid to get a 7.0 rating on IMDb. Three lousy actors, sleepwalking through an awful movie. Terribly written, badly directed, badly acted. I can go on and on...
All you have to do is to to YouTube and look this movie's trailer. Those were the most painful 2 minutes of my life.
Tag line:"THE BIG CHILL meets THE GRADUATE." Really? You should be so lucky as to do a "THE BIG CHILL meets THE GRADUATE." Nothing like the Big Chill and nothing like The Graduate. Using that tag line is an insult to the creators of those masterpieces. Just by attempting to link yourself to the likes of Larry Kasdan and Mike Nichols does not make you a "filmmaker."
Viewers: Don't waste your time. Don't be impressed by the fake credentials. Don't believe the hype. Go watch cat videos on YouTube instead.
Hansel vs. Gretel (2015)
Copycat Garbage
The scam artists who made this are trying hard to fool the poor suckers who goes for this horrible, horrible waste of time.
Their idea is to capitalize on the big Hollywood release "Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters."
Made by Asylum, these people are famous for putting out low budget trash as with titles that mimic big movie releases. They figure that even if 25 people fall for this, based on the buzz about the big release, they will have made their money back.
However, I think they failed. I don't think 25 people bothered with this film. Poor, poor acting. Non existent script. Super lousy production values.
These people are the ones who give Hollywood the bad name that people shame all over the world.
Complete and utter waste of time.
Against the Sun (2014)
Mostly fake reviews for a very mediocre movie
IMDb is an awesome site. It is the go to place for information about movies and TV show. Of course, there's a downside to this; filmmakers, their friends and family, all know that a review on this site will be seen by thousands. Hence, the fake reviews and by fake I mean people who are pumping up the movie so that people go and see it. These fakes are easy to spot.
So here's how to spot the fake reviews for this movie:
This film was shown in New Orleans on Nov 22, 2014.
On Nov 23d of 2014, the very next day, six (count them **six**) people all came and reviewed this film. All *very* positive. ("Excellent film
" "Absolutely loved it!" "excellent story and production" "Strong story, and great acting by Tom Felton") And guess what, if you look at the profiles of all these six people, they have only reviewed *one single* movie ever, and guess which one that movie was?
Yup! "Against the Sun."
And none of these six awesome reviewers have *ever* returned to IMDb to review any other movie. Suspicious? I think so!
By the way, everyone comes to IMDb and just looks at the stars and the reviews, which as I just proved are worthless. If you want to know the truth, click on the links for the message boards for this movie and this is what you will see:
"The Sharknado movies had better CGI sharks." "Did people in the military routinely wear jeans during missions?" "Hats off to the writers who managed to stretch a few chapters from a book to create a 100 min movie without any acknowledgment of original work or author except for identical plot points and character conflicts. "
Don't waste your time with "Against the Sun." Really awful and fake Computer Generated effects start it out and within minutes you are in a raft, where you will spend the rest of the movie. How's that for super low budget?
Mediocre acting. Mediocre story. Mediocre direction. Mediocre movie.
Thousands of other good movies around that will fill your time better.
Vice (2015)
Don't believe the good reviews
***Don't believe any of the positive 5-star reviews for this horrible "movie." It is clear that they are either fake or being put up by friends or family members of the people involved in the making of this movie.***
Bruce Willis has done a few movies lately where he shows up for about three short scenes, often shot in one location. It is clear that he was hired for a single day's work for a lot of money. This is one of those movies. His name and face is being used to sell, what is otherwise, a film without any hope of recouping whatever little money that was spent on it.
Where to start? Awful acting. Any acting student from a local community college drama class could act better than all the leads in this film. The woman lead was awful. The man playing the cop was awful. Every actor was sleepwalking through the film. The movie has no plot. It is done on a super low budget (most of the money went to Bruce, I am sure.)
What was disappointing was that this is a Lionsgate film. Lionsgate makes really good movies. But it was clear from the credits that this movie was hacked together by a conglomerate of foreign financing and production.
Complete waste of time.
