Spaceman (I) (2024)

A Cosmic Serenade
26 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
In the quiet of a dimly lit theater, I found myself suspended between Earth and the distant stars. "Spaceman," with its delicate brushstrokes of emotion, wove a celestial tapestry that tugged at my heartstrings. Adam Sandler, known for his comedic flair, stepped into a new orbit-a role that felt like a whispered secret shared across galaxies.

The film's art style, akin to a watercolor dream, painted the cosmos with hues of longing. Each frame was a canvas where stars bled into infinity, and nebulae whispered forgotten lullabies. I sat there, a speck in the cosmic audience, as Jakub Prochazka grappled with solitude. His spacecraft, a fragile cocoon hurtling through space, mirrored my own vulnerabilities. The vastness outside seemed to seep into my bones, and I wondered if the stars ever felt lonely.

And then there was Hanus-the enigmatic spider. His presence, both eerie and comforting, defied logic. Paul Dano's voice lent Hanus a wisdom that transcended species. Together, Jakub and Hanus danced through the void, their conversations echoing across light-years. In those moments, I glimpsed the fragility of human connection. Perhaps we're all just cosmic spiders, spinning threads of companionship across the abyss.

Adam Sandler's performance was a revelation. His Jakub wore weariness like a second skin. No grand monologues, no fireworks-just raw vulnerability. When he spoke to Hanus about lost love and unborn children, I felt the weight of unspoken words. Sandler's eyes held galaxies-the ache of a man who'd journeyed too far from home.

"Spaceman" wasn't about flashy space battles or wormholes. It was about the quiet ache of existence. As Jakub faced the stars, I faced my own constellations of longing. The soundtrack, a symphony of stardust, swirled around me. I wondered if the universe hummed the same tune when it missed someone.

In the final act, Jakub made a choice-to stay adrift or return to Earth's embrace. The screen blurred, and I realized we're all spacemen, hurtling through life. We choose our orbits, our companions, our silent conversations. And sometimes, a giant spider becomes our confidant.

As the credits rolled, I sat there, stardust in my eyes. "Spaceman" had moved me-a gentle nudge across light-years. So, dear viewer, when you watch it, let your heart float among the stars. Let Hanus whisper secrets, and let Adam Sandler's quiet brilliance remind you that even in cosmic solitude, we're never truly alone.

"Spaceman" isn't just a film; it's a cosmic serenade-an invitation to dance with the universe. And maybe, just maybe, you'll find solace in the spaces between the constellations.

Don't believe the hate, THIS SHOW ROCKS!
8 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I really don't understand the negative reaction from people. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MCU SHOWS!! It's darker than usual with a more serious tone which is just what marvel needed! Ben Mendelsohn and Sam Jackson are an amazing team, the chemistry between there characters is deep and compelling.

Secret Invasion is a thrilling and captivating miniseries that explores the consequences of a covert alien invasion of Earth by shapeshifting Skrulls. The show is based on the Marvel Comics storyline of the same name and is set in the present-day Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It is the ninth television series in the MCU produced by Marvel Studios and the third installment of Phase Five. It is available to stream on Disney+.

The show follows Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the former director of S. H. I. E. L. D., who has been working with the Skrulls in space for years before returning to Earth. He learns of a conspiracy by a group of renegade Skrulls led by Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) who plan to gain control of Earth by posing as different humans around the world. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), and the Skrull Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who has made a life for himself on Earth, to stop the invasion and expose the impostors.

The show boasts an impressive cast of MCU veterans and newcomers, who deliver stellar performances and bring depth and complexity to their characters. Jackson and Mendelsohn have great chemistry as Fury and Talos, who share a bond of trust and friendship despite their differences. Ben-Adir is a menacing and charismatic villain as Gravik, who has a personal vendetta against Fury and the humans. The show also features Emilia Clarke as G'iah, a Skrull rebel who joins Fury's team, Olivia Colman as Sonya Falsworth, a British politician who is secretly a Skrull, Don Cheadle as Jim 'Rhodey' Rhodes, aka War Machine, who assists Fury in his mission, and many more.

The show is created by Kyle Bradstreet, who serves as the head writer, and directed by Ali Selim. The showrunners manage to balance action, drama, humor, and mystery in a compelling and engaging narrative that keeps the viewers hooked and guessing. The show also explores themes such as identity, loyalty, betrayal, trust, and deception, as well as the moral ambiguity of both sides of the conflict. The show also connects to other MCU films and series, such as Captain Marvel (2019), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), Loki (2021), and Hawkeye (2021), adding more layers and richness to the MCU lore.

The show also features stunning visual effects, cinematography, music, and production design that create a realistic and immersive world. The Skrulls' shapeshifting abilities are rendered with impressive detail and realism, as well as their spaceship and technology. The show also showcases different locations around the world, such as London, Moscow, Seoul, New York, and Wakanda, giving the show a global scope and diversity. The show's music by Kris Bowers is atmospheric and dynamic, enhancing the mood and tone of each scene.

Secret Invasion is a must-watch for MCU fans and anyone who enjoys a thrilling and captivating sci-fi spy thriller. The show delivers on its promise of an epic and exciting story that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end.

Truly hilarious
6 June 2023
SmartLess: On The Road is a must-watch for fans of SmartLess and comedy lovers in general. But the real fun comes from watching the hosts goof around with each other before and after the show, whether it's ordering room service, visiting monuments, taking selfies or playing pranks. It's a rare opportunity to see three talented and charismatic actors let loose and have fun with each other and their audience. It's also a testament to the power of friendship and humor in these challenging times. The series will leave you wanting more of SmartLess, both on stage and on your headphones. Hopefully, there will be a second season of this delightful docu-series soon.

Unmatched
20 December 2022
This has to be the best game I've ever played. From the story and dialogue to the combat. Seamlessly switching between the two. I have never played a game this polished and emotionally moving. Life can get hard and rough sometimes and the fact that I can sit down and become completely immersed in a world with lore and family compassion and badass destruction, It truly is unmatched to any game I've played. This is an incredible feat accomplished in the gaming world. To all the Devs, Studio and Actors on this team we salute you. 10/10, congrats to the team on this masterpiece. Thank you, thank you.

Disappointing
1 August 2022
I've watched all the other MARVEL Netflix shows. Daredevil is the best in my opinion but I liked Luke cage, Punisher and some of Jessica Jones. Iron fist is cringe and even more so in the defenders as well. It seems like all the characters are water down intellectually in this show. The dialogue is extremely cheesy and sigourney weavers character is written so boring, which sucks because she's a really good actress. Everyone also restates very obvious things that have already happened in previous shows. All the characters are just too friendly, even stick is acts uncharacteristically respectful and happy. I wish there was more grit in the defenders like there was in daredevil and the punisher.

Best show in years
28 February 2022
As an NC native born and raised I give this show a 15/10. The cast is stacked. The show is hilarious. Season two got even better. And there is a silver lining at the end. This is dead on accurate to southern folks mentality and mannerisms. Portrays the Bible Belt accurately and I really appreciate that. We are trash and we care deeply AMEN!

Best show ever made
8 November 2021
Regardless of what people say about the last 2 seasons. This show is unmatched. It has a bit of every genre in the mix. I've watched it 3 times now and I still think that from the beginning to the last episode this show is perfect. My favorite show ever created.

Great 1 & 2 season. Season 3 is bad
26 June 2021
We miss little bud, big bud. Eric and Aziz are the best part of the show. Very disappointing having to sit through season 3 just because the title says "Master of none". It would make more sense as a completely different show. I honestly wish they could just remove season 3 and try again.

Love this show until season 3
26 June 2021
This show was truly fantastic a fresh take on life with fun quirky experiences. Little bud and Big bud back to back. I love Eric and Aziz. But the new season is so slow and boring. I get it's different but in all the wrong ways. Season 3 is just bad. I watch this show for Aziz and Eric and I'd like them back now.

This was a very disappointing season. Yes it's different but in all the wrong ways. I miss Aziz and Eric. I'd like more food culture, fun and life circumstances.

This might be Christopher Nolan's best movie to date. I've never watched a movie and thought "wow this will be even better the second time". The movie is extremely complex and hard to wrap your mind around but once you catch on it's unbelievable. The movie is meant to be watched over and over to see the details that you've missed along the way. Fantastic film. 10/10.

FINISH HIM!
25 April 2021
This movie is a beautiful blood bath of fatalities X-rays and goofy jokes. They did the games and story right with this movie. Really hope we get a second one. I watched this after the new live action movie and this movie was far superior.

Bad script and meh acting
24 April 2021
Script was horrible, the CGI was cool but that wasn't enough for me to get through this movie. I got very bored of the movie not even halfway through it. Cringe film. In its defense, video game live action movies are almost always a flop.

CGI is badass
1 April 2021
It's a cool movie. There was good build up with the other movies so there was some stakes. The plot was pretty basic but who cares. This was a monster fighting movie and they pulled no punches. The CGI is incredible and the fights were badass.

I really enjoy this show
2 March 2021
Honestly it's an amazing show. Unlike most people I enjoy the final season, they kept it unpredictable. I think people just got so hype about this show that they weren't ready for it to end so when it did they got upset. That's just my opinion but even if you don't like the final season, the show is massive and there is still huge rewatch value. I've seen the show 2 times through now and will watch again once we get closer to the prequels.

Season 1-3 awesome, 4-6 meh
2 March 2021
Season 1-3 are extremely good, if you want peak mafia themes. Season 4 is by far the worst (boring). Season 5 Steve Buschemi comes in and spices this up. Season 6 is pretty good minus the last 2 episodes. It's like they said screw it let's just end this thing. I hated the last episode, such a waste of a good shows potential. I'd recommend watching the whole show except season 4, it was just filler and not much going on.

Simon Rich is a very good writer and has once again brought a modern, up to date, feel to a quirky pleasant show. I really don't understand the bad reviews on here. This is a fun family friendly show. Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Bushemi are at their best as well.
