The Vanished (2020)
Had so much potential but was terribly wasted.
Was interested to watch this because of the cast but unfortunately the end result was a muddled mess. The writing was wonky, with subplots that were completely unecessary.
The acting was subpar to say the least, which was disappointing considering the cast.
But, the story itself, the idea of it, I thought was very interesting, so what could have been a fantastic movie, was/is very much in need of refinement.
I can't say I would recommened this movie to anyone, if you're curious enough to watch, then I would suggest watching the first 15 minutes and then the last 15 minutes, will give you everything you need to know.
End of the World (2018)
Terrible Disaster Movie, Excellent Comedy
If you're looking for a good disaster film, this is not it, however if you're looking for something to laugh at, then it's a good choice.
The writing was absolutely ridiculous and the CGI, I have no words.
Spoiler:
It was so very kind of the lava to stop flowing while Father and Daughter had a pointless convesation in the front yard while the house behind them continued to fall down, possibly with her friend/friend's family still trapped inside.
Skybound (2017)
What in the Skies did I just watch?
I've watched a lot of awful films over the years but this is quite honestly one of the worst I've suffered through. The acting is atrocious, the dialogue is childish and cheesy and the technical aspects are ridiculous. It's quite a bummer really because this could have had potential.
I also couldn't get past the random changes in accent from the two girls in particular, in some scenes they had an American accent, others it was English.
I laughed at most of the scenes which I assumed were supposed to be taken seriously, like the scene where they are discussing the death of Matt, apparently he was brave for climbing out of the door to chop the engine off with an axe, even as I type that, I find myself laughing.
The ending is just as insane and now I hate myself for continuing to watch past the first 10 minutes.
Avoid at all costs. There are far superior movies to waste your time on.
It Stains the Sands Red (2016)
A Waste of Time - Contains Spoilers
I am a huge Zombie fan and I've seen almost all of them and after watching this disaster, I wished that I had given it a miss.
Contains Spoilers:
When I read the summary, I thought this sounds good, gees was I wrong. The main character makes all the usual horror movie mistakes. She falls down for no reason, despite being chased by a zombie, she pays no attention to her surroundings or uses said surroundings to her advantage.
At one point she turns to face the zombie and laughs at him when he falls over, instead of picking up a rock and bashing his head in, she damn well stands there and laughs.
Who in their right mind, when being chased by a zombie, would hide in a bathtub?
While hiding in the bathtub, a scorpion decides to crawl over her, causing her to freak out while the zombie is standing right there but just seconds later she picks the scorpion up with her hand and throws it.
There are a couple of scenes that are so repulsive that I can't bear the thought of writing them down and I can't think of a single reason as to why they were included except to make people throw up, they add less than zero to the story-line.
This isn't one of those movies that is so bad that it's good, it's just plain bad.
The Channel (2016)
Don't waste your time on this.
After reading the synopsis for this movie, I went in knowing that it was likely going to be a disappointment.
It was even worse than I suspected it would be.
I know that it's popular to cast older actors to play teenagers and a lot of them can get away with it, the actors cast in this film look their real life ages which are mid to late 20's.
They acting is atrocious, there are moments where it sounds like they're reading their lines from cue cards and the writing is horrible.
Another thing that really bothered me was the amount of times the other characters repeated the name of the main girl, Cassie, I have no idea what any of the other characters are called but they were determined that you know her name.
I had to stop watching after 30 minutes because it was just painful to watch.
