Clerks II (2006)
Thank You - The Way It Had To End
I didn't want to see this film. I was afraid it was going to ruin Clerks for me. But, I went any way.
I saw Clerks 2 the first week it came out. I have never, ever paid to see the same film twice in the theater. It always seemed like a waste of money to me.
I paid for Clerks 2 twice in one day. It was that good.
This is the way it should have ended. Thank you to Kevin Smith, you made me smile and gave me a reason to call a lot of old friends and tell them, "you have to go see this film, it's everything we hoped it was going to be and more." One thing I was struck by was Mr. Smith's faith. From Dogma, I got the idea that he had a good "idea". From this film, I can see more of that "idea". I liked it. I hope others do as well.
The Alcohol Years (2000)
How did I get sucked into this film?
###SPOILER FOLLOWS### This woman screwed a lot and drank too much and most likely took too many drugs in the 1980's. ###END###
How did I get sucked into watching this film? This is every "man I used to be so bad" story you can get at an AA meeting in any city in the world. Who funded this?
I understand, you had fun and you used to be a super cool bad girl. Did we need you to tell us this in a film? Could you not have just bored people at any 12-step meeting rather than putting this on film? Yet, I got sucked into watching this on Sundance. I kept trying to guess when you would hit your bottom.
Was it bedding women & men? Was it charging money for sex? Was it a marriage going bad?
