Waves (2019)
Difficult to Rate & Relate
Good movie but some scenes are difficult to relate to. Movie has rich kids having perfect lives & perfect love lives in high school, which I don't feel like high school is. The acceleration from standstill to crime makes sense but I just don't feel like I can relate to the characters at all. Art is supposed to create catharsis, this left me with raw emotion without any of the knowledge or connection that great art gives. That being said, it did a great job of generating such raw emotion. I don't know. I may change this rating as I get older.
Favorite parts: Father-son dynamic. Least favorite parts: Teen romances that involve riding in cars kissing and never arguing (two of them). (Even if they fight later, it's still weird as someone who's never seen romance like that in real life, feels unrealistic).
The Witcher (2019)
Horrible Adaptation
This Witcher adaptation deviates so harshly from the books that it disgraces not only them, but also all involved. It's just another entry in the long history of poor Netflix shows. Can't support a business whose sole work is to obfuscate meaning from great literature so as to reach the lowest common denominator audience.

Loiter Squad (2012)
Comedy, for the non pseudo intellectuals.
Most of the reviews on here are by people who're pretty far up their own asses.
To me this is a funny show.
I genuinely laugh when I watch it.
I don't try and act like a douchey critic.
I just be free and let the show commence.
And let myself be free in watching the show. So I experience the show freely, as you should do with any art form. Don't encase yourself into these stupid reviewers' concepts of this show or any show. This is the final line.
