Garbage

This is the last time I waste my time on a garbage foreign film. No Rhyme or reason just s stupid movie that wastes your time, just to find out it's garbage. It shows a stupid Danish couple with a cowardly Danish man who does nothing to protect his wife and daughter. Much of the film is in a foreign language or two, with no subtitles, so you have to wonder what is being said. The Danish family is overly subservient to their child who is irresponsible and whines to get her way. The cowardly father gives in to the whining and puts his family in further danger to please her. This is an utter waste of time with no pay off at the end.

Prisoners (2013)

Not as good as expected

Just got back from sitting through 2 hours and forty five minutes of this movie. Okay, this movie starts out good enough, good actors etc. but it spends a lot of time going to a whole lot of nowhere! Some of my complaints, the cop broke as many laws and committed more civil rights violations than anyone in the movie. Also, the cop's part has been seen in a million other movies. The only difference is in my opinion this cop is an idiot! Now the dad, Hugh Jackman, of course he's a great actor and does not disappoint in this movie, but his part was way over the top and he was Einstein compared to the cop, Jake Gyllenhaal. The entire movies was actually about these two and everybody else were just there! My wife's complaint, was mainly everyone spoke to quietly, so it was hard to hear and easy to miss things. Then to cap it all off... there is no real ending, it's just over, period. That's it, just over!!!

Okay, I am actually entering my review because I disagree with many of the reviews posted currently. First, some say it could have been better. What movie could not be better??? Second, this movie was better than simply decent. Third, I do agree it's a great concept and not a really great film, but this is still a good film and worth watching. It shows a family with a crisis of conscience, do you sacrifice someone else to save yourself? At first, some of the acting from the neighbors seems a bit off, but then, by the end you figure out why. The movie also has a fair amount of twists to keep you watching and guessing! So, if you are like me and you seen the previews and was not sure, but thought it might be good, then you definitely want to see this one.

OMG Absolutety Stupid!

Went to see this and wish I could have worked all day instead!!! This was an absolute waste of time and money. Waste of my money for paying to see this crap and super waste of money spent on making this garbage. It has some funny moments, most of which are shown in the previews, but there is no real flow or storyline. It has some solid actors in it too, which is a shame, because it seems to me that if they cared about their careers at all, they should have been able to read the script and see that it would not work. I assure you, if you are over 12...no, over 7 years old, you will leave disappointed... Please don't waste your money too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fair, but very slow

I decided to watch this one because of the rating it had here. It's a fairly good movie, but it is way too slow. What it does well is keep you guessing all the way to the very end.

You don't know who the girl is.

You don't know why they are after her.

Then, you don't know why they are after them.

The more I think about the movie the more I like it. However, the end leaves you feeling somewhat disappointed.

I watched the entire movie picking things I thought were wrong with the movie, only to find out in the end that they all make sense. This one is worth watching, but you wont be raving about how good it was later.

Amazingly Overrated

I signed up just to write a review for this waste of time. I gave it 4 stars only because some people like zombie type gore. This film is absolutely stupid!!!! The first 15 minutes actually start out quite well and if they ran with that, it would have been an awesome film, however they did not stick with it. The film changes up several times and each time it changes, it gets worse and worse. Not only does the gore get worse, but after the first 15 minutes, the entire story just becomes stupid with a capitol STUPID!!! By the second half of the movie, I was fast forwarding to find a plot and get through the garbage, but there is no plot. The 6 plus rating it has as of now is a complete joke, period. It's not even worth the 4 stars I give it if the person watching it is over 15 years old.
