Class of '83 (2020)

Lame Execution and dull lead performance let down the reality based encounter drama.

Director: Atul Sabharwal failed to execution this crime drama. Since from the beginning to climax, he was unable to engage the audience. He make so much buzz for Bobby before his entry however there was nothing special in the execution. I would say very lame entry in the movie.

Performance: Bobby Deol's body language and energy level failed to utilize this opportunity as lead role after long time. Good performance by Anup Soni in negative role. Good supporting roles played by Joy Sengupta, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Hans Dev Sharma as a colleague of Bobby. Hitesh Bhojraj, Sameer Paranjape, Ninad Mahajani, Prithvik Pratap and Bhupendra Jadawat have given good performance in role of the Batch 1983 batch.

Script and Screenplay: Script is missing small small details which can made it robust. e.g. Proper introduction of Bobby's wife and her illness. If script is considered as soul of cinema, soul was not on right place in this crime drama. Dialogues: For any masala movie, dialogue has great importance in the mind of audience. Here we are unable to get any dialog with some impact.

Target Audience: Urban Young

Last Words: It would recommend to watch some other movie e.g. Shootout at Lokhandwala or enjoy latest release Khuda Haafiz.

Khuda Haafiz (2020)

Action hero Vidyut Jammwal came out from his comfort zone and that one is worthy one enough to entertain the audience.

Direction: Faruk Kabir did brilliant job as he portrayed real life story with ease. He showcased the circumstances during financial crisis during 2008-09 and side effect of that situation.

Performance: So far this is the best performance of Vidyut Jammwal. He has good chemistry with cute and charming Shivaleeka Oberoi. Annu Kappor delivered good support role performance. Another good supporting roles played by Shiv Panditt and Aahana Kumra. Nawab Shah has done justice with negative role.

Script and Screenplay: There is only issue with mixing of Hindu and Muslim concept through out the movie. This left audience in puzzled state. If he want to inclined his movie to Muslim ideology, he can start with Muslim characters. Audience will not understand the logic of Nikaah and Phere for marriage of Hindu couples. Namaste posture for Khuda Haafiz greeting. Looklike Faruk failed to execute this secular gesture in his movie.

Music: Mithoon gave soulful music for 4 greatly written songs. It is really good to listen Sonu Nigam's voice in "Aakhri Kadam Tak". "Jaan Ban Gaye" by Mithoon and "Mera Intezaar Karna" by Armaan Malik are another good piece of work. Cinematography: Jitan Harmeet Singh has captured some of very pretty location from Uzbekistan.

Last Words: Watch it for unconditional and passionate love of husband towards his wife, watch it for their chemistry, watch it for soulful music, watch it for great cinematography, watch it for Vidyut.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020)

Fake male chauvinism and average acting skill of Janhvi Kapoor make it average cinema otherwise it can be must watch cinema for every Indian

Direction: Debutant Director Sharan Sharma tried his level best to make it one of praiseworthy biopic. He executed his role perfectly behind the camera. However he can add some more missions to make it more powerful and grand cinema.

Performance: Janhvi Kapoor proved that she is the Real sister of Arjun Kapoor if we are talking about expression and acting. Definitely some other actress can be better choice for this role. Nepotism let down the lead performance for this biopic. On the other hand, supporting star cast has done brilliant job. Pankaj Tripathi as a father was phenomenal through out the movie and inspiration role for Indian father. Vineet Kumar Singh once again did good acting. Manav Vij, Angad Bedi and Ayesha Raza played small and effective role.

Script: Sharan Sharma and Nikhil Mehrotra failed to write balance biopic as they inserted masala in form of gender discrimination by Indian Airforce. Women empowerment is good but fake narrative is very dangerous to people who are not aware of reality.

Music: Amit Trivedi's back after long gap and he made right choice with this movie. Some songs are really good e.g. "Bharat Ki Beti", "Dori Tutt Gaiyaan"

Last words: This is not must watch movie due to reasons mentioned earlier. However you can watch it once to give your regard to Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena.

Dil Bechara (2020)

Official remake tried to give the good treatment with same amount of feeling and SSR's fan can not get better tribute cinema than "Dil Bechara".

Direction: Casting director Mukesh Chhabra has made his direction debut with this movie. Earlier we have watched him in small roles. As he was quite novice behind the camera, we can not expect much or reaching the level of original one. However he gave honest try and conquered somewhat. Yes, there was some areas of improvement where people feel more connected with this cinema.

Performance: Sushant gave one the best performance in his small career. This movie is not for judging his performance. This movie is just feel the SSR persence on screen and give farewell to your lovely star. Sanjana Sanghi did the justice with her role of cancer patient. Sahil Vaid has played good supporting role in this tragic love story.

Script: When script writers have to work on adaptation, they have big problem as audience will always compare their work with original one. There was some issues with script and screenplay, still it was great watch for cinema lovers' perspective. Climax was in coherence with the reality and every one is having teary eyes and want to say good bye to his loving actor.

Music and Background Score: After huge gap, A.R. Rahman gave music to any Bollywood movie. It is really good that he chose this movie as this movie will be stay in the heart of audience for long duration. "Main Tumhara" and title track were the best songs which you want to listen on loop.

Last Words: Sudden dismissal of SSR, created new debate Nepotism vs Talent across the nation and this debate must be go on till Bollywood will stop creating misfortune like SSR.

Movie Rating: I guess that this movie is beyond rating or box-office collection. Still you are looking for my rating then my answer is 4 stars out of 5.

Betaal (2020– )

Good but not so great first desi zombie horror action thriller web-series.

Direction: Ghoul fame Patrick Graham and Nikhil Mahajan created zombie's world with so much horror and thriller. However they failed to maintain the momentum till the climax and ended this series in very haphazard manner.

Performance: Viineet Kumar delivered another Mukkabaz performance. Aahana Kumra did fantastic job. Manjiri Pupala also good in role of villager. Jitendra Joshi has shown good negative performance. Jatin Goswami brilliantly showcased his affection towards cousin brother Siddharth Menon. Suchitra Pillai also did the justice with her role.

Script and Screenplay: There was some problem with screenplay when Viineet Kumar tied with ropes inside bathroom by his team members. However when he reached in front of his team members, everyone behave fine, there was no reaction by his team. Another one, when they were passing below the small tunnel and zombies are roaming on the road. Zombies were unable to watch them. How this thing can be possible?? Tell me

Background Score: Naren Chandavarkar and Bendict Taylor provided fine background score to generate horror.

Visual Effects: As horror genre required good visual effects to create the fear inside the mind of the audience. However there was over dose of visual and sound effect inside tunnel and audience felt disconnected during that sequence.

Last words: Tried to malign the image of army as they were shown as corrupted one. This is high time to involve censor board in all the web-series or cinema releasing on OTT platforms.

Paatal Lok (2020– )

Good combo of violence, casteism, nudity, suspense and drama with some political angle.

Direction: Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy has done brilliant job behind the camera as they have created parallel world to Gangs of Wasseypur. But it has Left - Right and Hindu- Muslim clashes which are too much to irritate the audience.

Performance: Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhishek Banerjee steal the show with their career's the best performances. Neeraj Kabi is also in good in touch. There is great show in terms of supporting performances by Ishwak Singh, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Rajesh Sharma, Swastika Mukherjee, Jagjeet Sandhu, Akash Khurana, Anup Jalota and Savitri(Dog).

Script: After Asur, trailer of Paatal Lok gave hint for another mythological based crime drama series. However it is totally disappointed with the genre except web-series title Paatal Lok. It started with some crime and then drill down to history of crime and ended with pre-mature conclusion. In final episode, audience need more crispy and nail-biting thriller. One good thing about script is they have utilized each and every character in this series even dog.

Last words: Definitely there are many points which can be improved to make it worth binge watch web-series.

Mrs. Serial Killer (2020)

Shirish made audience Joker again

Performance: Manoj Bajpayee tried his level best to save this flop show but his less screen time and script did not allow this. Again good supporting performance by Mohit Raina. Jacqueline Fernandez was doing over acting through out. Definitely she was not right choice for this type role. Zayn Marie wasted her debut with this movie. Darshan Zariwala was good in role of defense advocate.

Direction: Please refer headline again. :P

Script and Screenplay: Some time we discuss about loopholes in any script but this movie has just reverse case. So novice script writing wasted 106 mins from our precious life. We can not stamp this as suspense thriller like they have created buzz after trailer release. This is very plain and straight forward plot which anyone can guess easily.

Cinematography: Ravi K. Chandran did some fine job with capturing good locations for this movie.

Last words: Shirish Kunder Please Please Please stop directing any type of cinema.

Extraction (2020)

Thor is saving drug lord's son from evil world but failed to reach the expectations.

Direction: Avengers fame stunt director Sam Hargrave turned into director first time. Look-like this will be cake walk for Sam as all big credentials are involved in this Netflix project. However he failed to keep the momentum in this action thriller.

Performance: Chris Hemsworth(Thor) gave solid performance as action hero and emotional father. Randeep Hooda was surprisingly brilliant in his first full fledged Hollywood outing. Rudhraksh Jaiwal was also good in touch. Golshifteh Farahani was looking stunting. Good supporting role played by Priyanshu Painyuli.

Script and Screenplay: This is the weakest point of this major project. There was nothing new offered by Russo brothers who directed magnum opus Avengers: End Game. They have placed one suspense which was quite obvious and it exposed quite early. When movie based on Indian backdrop, naming convention of father- son should not be western e.g. Ovi Mahajan.

Action Sequences: Definitely this department will gave you some goose bumps. All action sequences were world class especially Chris and Randeep's 11 min long action sequence.

Last words: If you can understand Bengali, you will enjoy it more.

Panchayat (2020– )

First time TVF has drilled down into rural area and they nailed it with superstar Jitu.

Direction: Permanent Roommates fame Deepak Kumar Mishra perfectly showcased the rural life which is real India. This attempt is very brave and full of risk as TVF has huge fan base of Urban audience. Fusion of comedy with rural drama made it perfect combination for audience.

Performance: Jitendra is undoubtedly Superstar or Amitabh Bachchan of OTT platform. This kind of role can be done by one and only Jitu. Neena Gupta is performing better day by day as last time we have praised her performance in Jitu's Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. Raghuvir Yadav is like a old wine actor. Great supporting performance by Chandan Roy and Faisal Malik. Nice cameo by Biswapati Sarkar and director Deepak.

Script and Screenplay: They have mentioned some major challenges for rural India e.g. Gender bias, Poverty, Electricity, Transport, Dowry, Population with so ease. Sometime it is very difficult to focus these area in any script but Chandan Kumar has written script with punches of laughter so that they will able to deliver the message to his audience.

Target Audience: Rural and Small town

Last Words: This series is worth binge watch and you will wait for next episode eagerly to watch the romance of Jitu Bhaiya and Rinky.

Genre: Spy Fiction Thriller

Total Episode: 8

Direction: Neeraj Pandey and Shivam Nair have directed episodes alternatively. Great thing is the consistency in their direction. Engagement and entertainment are main key ingredient for any direction and both were present through this series.

Performance: Kay Kay Menon is the USP of this espionage thriller. Another brilliant negative performance from Sajjad Delafrooz after Tiger Zinda Hain. There some other impressive work by Vinay Pathak and Karan Tacker. You must impress with some other supporting performances by Saiyami Kher, Meher Vij, Kali Prasad, Sana Khan, Sharad Kelkar and Rajat Kaul.

Script: Big thanks to Neeraj Pandey, Deepak Kingrani and Benazir Ali Fida for creating perfect web-series based on universe of Raw agents.

Screenplay: There was some issue with the screenplay as you will take atleast 3 episode to get some charge. After 3rd episode it will turn into binge watch.

Background Score: This is another area which need some improvement

Bhoot: Part One - The Haunted Ship (2020)

Vicky Kaushal saved the haunted ship from sinking at Box-office

Performance: Only Vicky Kaushal was the captain of this really haunted script. Akash Dhar was good in his role. Ashutosh Rana also contributed but there was nothing much for him. Meher Vij was average performer after great performance she has delivered in Secret Superstar.

Direction: Debutant Bhanu Pratap Singh started horror drama with great hold of script and he was able to create horror in the mind of audience. However his magic worked till interval. After interval movie turned into average horror Bollywood movie.

Script: After trailer release, audience was expecting something at the level of Hollywood as they have mentioned Bhoot as franchises. Any horror movie 's performance depend on the climax or how to handle the ghost in the movie. This important part was pathetic and quite old one.

Box-Office: It opened with average figure of 5.1 crores with some extra push due to partial holiday of Shiv Ratri. On 2nd day, it has earned 5.52 crores as there is no big jump due to negative words of mouth. It will earn 30-40 crores at box-office as life time collection.

Target Audience: Urban Adult

Last Words: No more part of this Bhoot franchises, Please.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020)

Brilliant sequel with different flavor of same sex marriage.

Performances: Ayushmann Khurrana is turning into one of trusted actor from Bollywood as he is giving hit one after another e.g. Badhaai ho,Dream Girl, Article 15, Bala. What a great and perfect debut by the Digital sensation Jitendra Kumar . Badhaai ho's on-screen pair Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao again showcased good chemistry which spark humor spontaneously. Manu Rishi, Maanvi Gagroo and Punkhudi Awasthy have done fantastic job in supporting roles.

Direction: Debutant director Hitesh Kewalya did fabulous job in term of simplification of complex message. It is really important to engage the audience while giving some bold message to society. This is the USP of this Hitesh's direction.

Script: Once again credit goes to Hitesh for great sequel script with lots of comedy and entertainment. There was no dull moment in 2 hrs complex family drama with full of entertainment.

Dialogue: Every time, you listen some dialogue, you get some punches. One major aspect for these dialogues was perfectly timed by actors. That's why these hilarious dialogue made more sense in this movie.

Music: This is the weak point of SMZS as again series of reprise old hit song. Nowadays there is sheer drought of creativity in the area of music. Although Gabru and Arey pyar Kar were good one.

Box-Office: As it opened with 9.55 crores, it will earn 70-80 crores as lifetime collection because words of mouth is positive for this movie.

Target Audience: Young and Urban region

Last Words: Ayushmann has come up with new formula which you should watch in cinema halls.

Parasite (2019)

The way of story telling is the soul of this master piece by Bong

Performance: Both Kim and Park family members did brilliant job in their role. Kim family was full of cunning and witty one however Park family was simple and soft one. Both family depicted their side perfectly.

Direction: Bong is the captain of this dark comedy with lots of thriller. Just like he baked dark comedy cinema as a cake and added thriller like a cherry on the top of the cake. Execution matters a lot when you are talking about top quality cinema and this is one of them.

Script: This is the main USP of this movie. Although this movie available in the English subtitle, still you are able to relate and enjoy this cinema completely. Great showcase of the difference between elite class and poor people. Some small object played pivot role e.g. Smell, Morse Code

Background Score: As movie flow, background score provided perfect combination to it. For this genre, great background score is key to entertain the audience.

Last Words: Don't miss it otherwise isme tera ghata.

Love Aaj Kal (2020)

Imitiaz Ali forgot to romance with his urban audience by new experiments with script and confused love

Performance: There were huge expectations from Karthik Aryan as recently he established himself as bankable actor. This movie genre did not match with his previous movies. There was no comedy, no monologue for Karthik. That's why no great performance by Karthik. He need to learn acting for serious cinema. Sara Ali Khan was trying to do acting but we will call it OVER acting. Her character need some variation but she acted just opposite. Aarushi Sharma was acted better than lead star cast. Randeep Hooda gave another brilliant performance in supporting role.

Direction: Imitiaz's down fall has started with Tamasha and it is continued with Jab Harry Met Sejal and now Love Aaj Kal 2020. Imitiaz needs some break from film-making and work on some new script again so that his audience will mesmerized by old Imitiaz in the cinema halls.

Script: Frankly speaking, there was nothing new in the script, if you have already watched Imitiaz Ali's movie. This movie ran in parallel to old one but diverted after interval.

Music: Pritam failed to recreate the magic of old Love Aaj Kal. Dooriyaan was badly missed by audience. Shayad and Haan Main Galat by Arijit Singh were good one.

Box-Office: Lifetime collection will be 50-60 Crores if this movie will survive in the weekdays.

Target Audience: Youngster & Urban region

Last Words: It will be better to sit at home and enjoy old Love Aaj Kal.

Shikara (2020)

In-complete story of Kashmiri Pandit's exodus made it half baked cinema

Performance: Chemistry between Aadil Khan and Sadia was really awesome as they have acted so maturely. Many times they have proved that they are not acting in their first movie. All other supporting stars have done brilliant job in their roles. Direction: Vidhu Vinod Chopra want to depict love story on the backdrop of Kashmir valley and he can be considered successful for some extant. Sometime this romantic saga gave feel of art cinema. But thanks to director as he execute this movie calmly. Script: There are lots of issue with the script. After watching trailer, everyone assuming that Vidhu has taken very bold script to showcase the brutal exodus of Kashmiri Pandit from the valley. However he completely disappointed the cinema lovers. As somewhere Vishu has mentioned about sequel to cover the pain of Kashmiri Pandit. However this movie was the perfect opportunity for him which he missed miserably. Music: This section was only thing which made audience to bear slow pace romantic drama. A.R.Rahman and Qutub-E-Kripa's back ground score was so refreshing and full of Kashmiriyat. Last words: Either Wait for sequel of Shikara by Vidhu Vinod Chopra or Vivek Agnihotri's KashmirFiles to understand real story behind exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.

War (2019)

This movie can be considered as finest action movie made by Bollywood. Hrithik Roshan is definitely apple of eyes for all audience.

Direction: Siddharth Anand is back with for another action flick after huge success of Bang Bang with Hrithik. This movie was highly anticipated movie of 2019. Audience will mesmerized with direction of Siddharth.

Performance: Before individual performance, let's talk about chemistry between Hrithik and Tiger. That was really amazing one. Hrithik Roshan 's presence on screen add more stars to this movie. Tiger's action was perfect one. Vani Kapoor was just okay. Ashutosh Rana was good in his role.

Script: Usually Bollywood movie made with one suspense but this movie has two. That's why people like it as it gave the feel of Race movie which considered as Twist master movie from Bollywood. There was issue with the screenplay when movie went ahead 2-3 years in time but without notification. Editing was not good for that moment.

Dialogues: Action movies powered by dialogues. In this department, there was area of improvement as some dialogue can be better written.

Action Sequence and Cinematography: This movie has one of the finest action sequences. Hats off to Hollywood favorites cinematographer Benjamin Jasper .

Music and Choreography: Vishal- Shekhar has given good dancing number using the caliber of Hrithik and Tiger. Bosco- Caesar 's choreography has fully utilized dancing legends.

Box-office: It opened with historic figure of around 53 crores in all versions. It will definitely cross the 300 crores mark for sure.

Last Words: Bollywood has started war against Hollywood's action movie. Eagerly waiting for Hrithik's WAR 2.

Dream Girl (III) (2019)

Raaj Shaandilyaa and Ayushmann Khurana's dream can be bigger and better than this one.

Direction: Raaj Shaandilyaa has perfectly utilized his prior experience with comedy shows. Movie will give you good laugh through out however you feel something missing as a whole project. Vision was great but execution has derailed the momentum.

Performance: Ayushmann Khurana has again proved his mantle with excellent performance. Vijay Raaz was brilliant in the role of Police man cum Shayar. Annu Kapoor was good but sometime he has done some overacting. Nushrat Bharucha failed to beat her best performance from PKP series and SKTKS. Manjot Singh and Rajesh Sharma has done good job. Abhishek Banerjee gave another Stree type performance. Nidhi Bisht was good in small role.

Script: There is only issue with the script as climax was premature one. Love story of Ayushmann and Nushrat was not much convincing. Plot can be more robust in second half so that we can have great entertainment in the cinema hall.

Dialogue: Raaj Shaandilyaa has done excellent job with writing witty dialogues. In whole runtime of this movie, you will enjoy the laughter in the cinema halls.

Music: Meet Bros's Music was good one. Altamash Faridi's "Ik Mulaqaat" and Amit Gupta's "Radhe Radhe" were good song from this album.

Box-office: It opened in double digits which indicate the popularity of Ayushmann among audience. Second day it jumped with huge amount. Looklike this movie will cross the 100 crores mark at the box-office in the lifetime collection.

Last Words: This can be one time watch for good message for society.

Section 375 (2019)

After Pink, this movie has talked about other side with super performances.

Direction: After B.A.Pass, Ajay Bahl is back with hard hitting topping Section 375. His direction was mature enough that he engage the audience since from beginning to the climax. Movie started from one end and stop on other end. This is sheer beauty of direction.

Performances: Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadda have stolen the show with power-pack performances. Meera Chopra looks innocent in her role. Rahul Bhat's acting was good. Kishore Kadam and Kruttika Desai added more justice to the script. Small but great performances by Shrikant Yadav, Shriswara and Sandhya Mridul.

Script: Manish Gupta has done brilliant job as he made engaging court room drama like we have always cherish court room drama of Pink movie. Climax has some ground reality which is another great inclusion. Similar approach was discussed for Pink but finally Manish left the audience puzzled at the end of movie.

Dialogues: Dialogues are the food for any good script. Ajay Bahl has written some great and punches dialogues with inclusion of great fact and analysis. This act as value addition to the script.

Box-office: This court room drama opened with lower collection on day 1. It has collection 1.45 crores on day 1. Day 2 has witness great growth and collection jump to 3.07 crores. Now all eyes on Sunday's collection. It will be 4-5 crores as word of mouth is so much positive for this movie. Life time collection must be in the range of 30-50 crores.

Last words: Don't miss this master piece by Ajay Bahl. I repeat Don't miss this.

Saaho (2019)

Prabhas returned to the box-office with lame script and poor screenplay but great VFX and action sequences.

Direction: Sujeeth took great risk in his second outing with Prabhas. Sujeeth failed to make it as grand as Baahubali. We can say that great opportunity missed by him. If he made a great hold on direction, people will recall Prabhas as Saaho, not as Baahubali.

Performances: Prabhas own this action thriller right from the beginning of the movie.However there is some issue in his dialogue delivery in Hindi. Shraddha Kapoor did magnificent action sequences. Chunky Pandey was the surprise element of this movie. Indeed terrific performance in negative role which is quite opposite to his previous roles. Neil Nitin Mukesh was impressive one. Jackie Shroff was good in small role. Arun Vijay did good job. Mandira Bedi was not upto the mark in the role of Kalki.

Script and Screenplay: This section disappointed the audience majorly. Script and screenplay is always soul of any cinema. If script is not upto the mark, audience will not be entertained by only good VFX work. Twist and turns are required for thriller genre but screenplay must be good to keep the audience interested in the cinema.Inclusion of Shloka from Gita was good thing but it require many other things as well.

Visual Effects and Action Sequences: This movie can be considered as one of finest cinema in terms of VFX work and high octane action sequences. This quality required your visit to cinema halls otherwise you will not acknowledge this fact.

Music: Four different music directors have gave music for 4 different songs. Music was good and 1-2 songs are already chart-busters e.g. "Psycho Saiyaan" and "Enni Soni". However "Baby won't you tell me" can be cut down due to length issue.

Cinematography: R Madhi did fantastic job to capture virgin locations of Austria and Romania in this movie. His cinematography is surely treat for eyes.

Choreography: Vaibhavi Merchant's work was top class for Saaho. Definitely great job done by her for romantic songs.

Box-Office: Due to super craze among Hindi belt viewer, it opened well in Hindi version with 24.40 crores. Words of mouth is negative so not much growth can be expected on Saturday and Sunday. It will earn 120-150 crores in lifetime collection(Hindi Version).

Direction: Nikkhil Advani must received standing ovasion for bravest attempt to convert encounter in celluiod format. Showcasing real life of policemen is really good attempt and definely value addition to the cinema.

Performances: Once again John Abraham played captain's knock in this encounter saga. Mrunal Thakur played similar role like she did in her recent release Super 30. Ravi Kishan played small and effective supporting role. Rajesh Sharma shines in negative role as defence lawyer. Nora Fatehi looks pretty in "O Saki Saki" song.

Script and Screenplay: Ritesh Shah has done brilliant job in term of thriller writing. Screenplay was so powerful that you will be engage with this movie till the climax.

Music: Tanishk Bagchi, Ankit Tiwari and Rochak kohli gave music for one song each. "O Saki Saki" song is already chartbuster.

Box-Office: It opened with good figure of 15 crores when it is clashing with Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal at box-office. This movie can complete century at box-office based on weekdays' performance.

Last Words: If you love reality based cinema, you must go for it.

Mission Mangal (2019)

Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan gave perfect upthrust to this cinema.

Direction: Debutant Jagan Shakti rock the space drama with brlliant direction. He left no stone unturn to make understand the audince with domestic examples. Inclusion of astrology gave comic sense to the movie.

Performances: Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan steal the show and their performances were on the top. Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu have done great job in the supporting role. Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, Sanjay Kapoor, H.G. Duttatreya andVikram Gokhale did really good work.

Script: One of the finest chacter writing done for Akshay kumar. It looks like this script was wating for him. I would say spellbounding script by R Balki and Jagan Shakti.

VFX: VFX was realy good but it can be better than this.

Music: Amit Trivedi and Tanishk Bagchi have done the justice with the music. Uusually this genre does not required music as mandatory stuff.

Box-office: As words of mouth is so much positive,it must earn more than 150 crores in its lifetime collection.

Last Words: What else you want in motivation to watch this movie.

Jabariya Jodi (2019)

Bollywood is suffering from huge crisis of creativity and Jabariya Jodi is the finest example of it.

Direction: There were huge expectations from debutant director Prashant Singh as he is coming with some new concept. However he failed to maintain the momentum in the second half. First half was somewhat better and entertaining one.

Performances: "Hasee toh Phasee" famed jodi paired as Jabariya jodi this time. Both were good in their characters till first half. In second half, they lost the track. Some great performances by supporting star cast. Javed Jaffrey did good job as Hukun Dev Singh. Sanjay Mishra was good in the role of Duniya Lal. Aparshakti Khurana did another good supporting role as Santosh AKA Sanno.

Script: Sanjeev K jha came from Bihari background so he want to use local issue of Groom kidnaping as central idea of his script. Topic wise script was good in chunks, not as whole. After interval, script was running in rounds and round look like you will get the flavor of daily soap.

Music: Again creativity issue with music section as lack of originality. Two old superhit songs "Khadke Glassy" and "Zila Hilela" reprised by various music directors and singers.

Box-Office: On opening day it has earned 3.15 crores. On 2nd day, slight jump due to weekend and it has earned 4.25 crores. Life time collection will be in the range of 30-35 crores based on how word of mouth will impact footfall.

Last words: If you have watched all recent released movies, i can recommend this movie to overcome boredom.

Super 30 (2019)

Hrithik inject his terrific performance to make it Super-Hit

Direction: Controversial director Vikas Bahl has directed this biopic movie based on life of Mathematician Anand Kumar. He did brilliant job behind the camera as it will give your intense flavor of struggle of Anand Kumar and his team Super 30.

Performance: Hrithik owns this biopic drama as he acted as USP of this cinema. His looks, body language and accent will give you some surprise as this type role is quite challenging for him. Super 30 is great movie because it has great supporting roles. Virendra Saxena did phenomenal job in the role of father. Aditya Srivastava looks good in negative role. Pankaj Tripathi delivered another brilliant performance in small role. Mrunal Thakur also did the justice with her role. Amit Sadh is also good entertainer for the audience.

Script: Sanjeev Dutta has tried to pen down each and every detail related to the life and struggle of Anand Kumar. We must appreciate his effort. However there are some additional play which can be cut short or remove as it derail the momentum gained by script in first half. Sometime over melodrama does not help the movie because audience feel disconnect from the script.

Visual Effects: Some good effects added more value to the script. These were really demanded in this type of script.

Music: This department let down this movie as Ajay-Atul failed to mesmerized the audience. There is no song which can be consider as chart-buster. "Basanti No Dance" was pathetic one.

Box-Office: It opened with 11 crores. Second day it collected 17 crores which means huge jump for this type genre. On Sunday, it has earned more than 20 crores despite having Cricket World cup final. By this next weekend, it will cross 100 crores tag.

The Tashkent Files (2019)

One the best Political thriller produced by Bollywood

Direction: Vivek Agnihotri gave honest try for mystical death of Lal Bahudur Shastri ji and he succeeded in his objective. This poltical thriller is totally nail biting one as it will hook up you till the climax. Performance: We must say thanks to casting director as he did choose any A-star. Shweta Basu Prasad take the lead in the role of Raagini Phule as small age journalist. Mithun da proved his acting once again with political role. Naseer was also great in touch with role of home minister. Mandira added more power as NGO owner and Pallavi as Historian. Pankaj Tripathi once again impressed his audience with monologue on Secularism. Rajesh Sharma and Vinay Pathak did brilliant job in small role. Script: Vivek has done really work hard to make this script so meaningful and gave some message without any political alignment. It has many other big cover up e.g. KGB agents presence in Pan India, Death of Deendayal ji and Shyma Prasad along with Plane crash of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Dialogue: Great dialogue with punches make any script more powerful and robust. There was some section with brilliant dialogues e.g. India on sale and Secularism issue. Music: This section was not up the mark as it can be better than this. Rohit Sharma must added some meaningful track with perfect timing. Box-office: On day 1, it has collected .4o Crores but collection will be increase on Sat and Sun as good words of mouth for this movie. Last words: Don't miss this master piece from Vivek Agnihotri

Notebook (I) (2019)

When Bollywood will stop remaking other language or countries hit formulas.

Direction: Filmistaan fame Nitin Kakkar tried Thai remake with Kashmiri Tadka. However he failed to delivered any thing concrete. Neither it consider as great romantic movie or class in therm of execution. Performance: Both leading actor- actress is making debut by this movie but chemistry was missing between them. Mir Sarwar looked good in negative role. Rest other star cast did not contributed much in terms of performance. Script: This is adaptation of Thai movie Teacher's diary which associate lead pair with one notebook. Writers Shabbir Hashmi and Payal Asha took many creative liberties e.g. Notebook submerged into the water but content remained intact. Music: Vishal Mishra's music was good for audience especially Mohit Chauhan's Safar and Vishal's Nai Lagda. Cinematography: This is only section which impress the audience. Some virgin location from Kashmir will make you fall in love with those one. Box-office: It opened with lower figure than expected one as it has earned only 75 lakhs on day 1. It can earn more than 1 crores on Saturday and Sunday but it will be flop at box-office as there is lack of good word of mouth. Last Words: If you have already watched Kesari, Dumbo and Junglee, go for it otherwise enjoy the IPL.
