Forgotten conflict
27 November 2004
I am delighted that PBS has shed light on this long lasting but somehow forgotten conflict. A story about thousands of people who live in the worst situation in the middle of nowhere (The hardest place to live in the middle of the Sahara desert).

Morocco organized the "green march" forcing Saharawis to escape from their own land almost 30 years ago. More than 300,000 Moroccans went from Morocco to Western Sahara and established there. Saharawi refugees live in camps for almost thirty years now, and Moroccan authorities as well as Spaniards (Western Sahara was a former colony of Spain) or French (Moroccans big ally) haven't done much to solve the problem.
