Togo (2019)
Togo, The True Hero.
My family and I loved the story of Balto and even took photos with his statue in Central Park. Finding out that Togo was the true hero of the diphtheria vaccine relay is a story that was long overdue in coming out. Intense scenes mixed with flashback puppy scenes make for an interesting story. I highly recommend this movie if you are a dog lover.
The Dog Doc (2019)
If you love dogs and care about their long term health, you will love this film.
Dr. Goldstein is paving the way for the future of Veterinary Medicine and in this brilliant documentary by Cindy Meehl, we are shown the advances Dr. Goldstein has made over the years with homeopathic treatments combined with traditional medicine to enhance and lengthen our beloved dogs lives. This is a must see when the film is released in Fall of 2019. (Viewed at the Nantucket Film Festival, June 2019)
Official Secrets (2019)
Brilliant screenplay, superb acting!
The screenwriting magic of the incredibly talented husband and wife team of Bernstein and Bernstein bring this true story filled with spies, treason, love and war to the big screen. Though a true story and the ending is known, this film has the viewer balanced on the edge of their seat with suspense. Kiera Knightly's best performance to date and Ralph Fiennes is brilliant as her lawyer. Every performance is excellent in this must see film when it premieres in August 2019. Vault (2019)
10 Stars!!
A great take on this true story. Theo Rossi, Clive Standen and Samir Wiley give compelling performances that keep the viewer constantly on the edge of their seat. I highly recommend renting this film OnDemand.
The Golem (2018)
Did not disappoint!
Not too terrifying, yet creepy enough. Great acting and loved the story line! I recommend this one!!
The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot (2018)
Finally a creative and original film!
Writer/director Robert S. Kryzkowski has given us a beautifully creative film. We get a little action, a little humor, what it means or doesn't mean to be a hero and an introspective view on one very special man's life. Sam Elliott gives an award worthy performance, with Aidan Turner, Caitlin Fitzgerald and Larry Miller excellent in their supporting roles. If you want a transformer type movie, this is not for you, but if real life and sacrifices speak to you, you won't be disappointed. The cinematography is beautiful, the musical score is incredible, as well. I give it 10 Stars!
