The Life and Times of Rosie the Riveter (1980)
Feminazism at it's best.
Being a history/WWII buff I was highly disappointed with this "documentary." Of the thousands upon thousands of Rosies they supposedly interviewed, they picked these 5 lunatics to make this movie.. Watch it if you want, but just take a gander at who made this film and you won't be surprised. Directed by one Ms. Connie Field. A die hard liberal from the 60's and is still producing garbage like this today. It sickens me that people like her and Michael Moore are praised and admired for their "work." Here's the recap in case you don't want to sit through an hour + of nonsense. American white men are evil, racist, sexist pigs. The end. P.S. Since this still isn't long enough for IMDb I'd like to add that I do appreciate the work the homefront did, including the women in this film, who helped in any way possible to support our troops and win the war.
The Story of Film: An Odyssey (2011)
What the heck was that??!!!
This mark cousins guy seems to be severely mentally challenged and probably has an extremely low IQ. He's an Irish Forrest gump. Maybe worse. An Irish Forrest gump with a traumatic brain injury. I just can not believe this crap was produced. It really blows my mind. There is nothing redeeming about this "film." If you're considering watching this garbage please read the other reviews. They are spot on in their assessment. You'd be better off watching someone who's watching someone who's watching paint dry. Yes, it's that bad. Oh and I don't believe for one second that cousins has any knowledge of film history nor do I believe he's ever watched any movie...ever. He would have been able to at least grasp the concept on how to make one if he did.
On the Inside (2011)
Wow, No point to this crappy movie
There was no point to this movie. There were bad guys(and girls) and worse bad guys. They were all killers and I think we were supposed to feel bad?? because they are living it up in a comfy mental institution?? The "good guys" are Allen and his new mental gf Mia. He killed 2 people that we know of and caused the death of his friends mom. (he was only convicted of one) And the girlfriend set fire to a building killing a couple of "old people." Possibly if these characters showed any type of remorse it might have made a difference but I doubt it.
The only reason we see any humanity in them is because of how bad the other criminals are.
Its a waste of time, no point, no character development, stupid soundtrack, and its dark. I don't know what we're supposed to take away from this movie. The only thing I can say is that is well acted for what it is but I can not recommend it.
The Majestic (2001)
One of the BEST
I don't see how anyone could not like this movie. I went to see it in the theater when it first came out and love it more every time I see it.
They should make more movies like this instead of the crap they pump out. Its great to see several old school actors in this film that were around during the Hollywood blacklisting.
Its a wholesome, family movie yet deals with some very serious matters. I can't believe movie critics were so harsh on this fine film. They should find another career. BTW Jim Carey is excellent in this movie. He should do more serious roles.
