The Last Igloo (2019)
Amazing
Beautiful movie, soundtracks, scenery.
As much as the life of the main character could be simple, it is filled with nature, with loneliness, with ancesters life experiences. I don't see the sadness in the movie, I see the experienced and peaceful life. Incredibly nice movie.
Ready or Not (2019)
Excellent movie
Excellent movie, laugh non stop, shot in Beautiful Toronto and surrounding area. I have visited 2 times the Casa Loma too. Great characters. This kind of movies are nicely welcomed too. Soundtrack nice too. Movie that I will keep in my movie collection.
Crown Vic (2019)
Boring...
I find this movie boring, so boring that I had to give up after 30 minutes. I don't like "End of watch" either... Training day is just ok...Will not keep it in my movie collection.
Erin Brockovich (2000)
Wow...
This is one of my favorite movies ever.
Great soundtrack, great scenery and story.
Julia Roberts is amazing and Albert Finney as well.
I have seen this movie many times and I know it well but each time I watch it, I am fully pleased to see it even if I know the story.
Xcellent movie!
Nebraska (2013)
awesome
Very nice movie! Watching a movie in black and white makes the movie nicer, in my opinion. Soundtrack is nice too. But Bruce Dern's amazing acting is what holds the movie together, for me a "feel good" movie. Quiet, slow, funny, beautiful and peaceful movie.
The Post (2017)
Boring...
I found this movie boring and unable to catch my attention. I might have done a wrong thing comparing this movie with "Spotlight" which is excellent or with "All the president's men" which is also very good, but ok... Disappointment too with Steven Spielberg who made really good movies and who ends up with this movie. Definitely a movie which will no have its place in my best movies.
Hell or High Water (2016)
excellent!!
I just saw this movie and oh Gosh, it´s excelent. Dialogues, situations, characters, all just fine. Before checking the name of the director, I had the feeling the Cohen brothers were there, but no. Anyway, impressive movie, to be kept in my video files...
Kelly's Heroes (1970)
Hilarious...
OMG I am a Clint Eastwood fan since years and I've never seen this movie thinking it was a war movie and I'm too much into army movies due to some nasty wartime events I was in. But ok, I've had a great time watching and laughing like nuts. Reading some of the dialogs after watching the movie litterally made me cry from laughing. For me it's even a good "feel good" movie. Clint is good, Kojak is better and Donald is just great... Now I realize how much I've missed by not watching the movie before, but now I keep this movie and will definitely watch again many many more times.
La French (2014)
Mistakes
In the many reviews and description of the movie, it is mentioned that Pierre Michel is a detective. That is wrong. Pierre Michel was a judge, which is very different from a detective. Was Pierre Michel doing a detective work? Well it could be considered as yes, but his main work position was being a judge.
Lonely Are the Brave (1962)
Whisky
Excellent movie. I had it downloaded long time a go but never watched it before. Tonight I was a bit bored and decided to watch this movie. What a treat! But how sad is the end, even if you know that the horse is not shot there, the magic of the movies puts that in your brain and you feel it is true. Other movies which "moved" me: The shooting of the wolf in "Dances with wolves" made me so angry at the shooters and so sad too that I cried, and I cry every time I watch the movie, basically I am a "victim" of the movie magic. Normally, after I watch a movie, I usually delete it to make space for more, and I have of course some movies that I do not delete and I keep them for my eternity. Well "Lonely are the brave" will not be deleted and will rejoin my favorite movie collection. And yes, at the end, I will certainly cry, but then I am not made out of wood and having my feelings so moved tells me the making of this movie was just incredibly great. My vote is not a 10 as I believe there is no perfect movie, but a 9 is well deserved. One more thing, the black and white for this movie gives so many different shades that it is also very nice. "RIP Whisky"...
Max (2015)
Belgian shepherd...
The Belgian Shepherd or Malinois is so called as the breed was first established in the Belgian city of Malines. Also I am a french citizen in my mid 50's and as many people do not know, the french army is using Malinois as "war" dogs as they are much more efficient than German shepherd. As far as I know, they are not used in combat missions but are used for example as security patrols in air force bases. And also I would like to tell that if any viewer would be tempted to buy a Malinois just because of this excellent movie, I would discourage them as dealing with a Malinois is kind of different as dealing with a Yorkshire as Malinois are very obedient dogs but as play companions, even if they are very faithful to the owners, they would not be my first choice. Waoof!!
