American Horror Stories: Drive (2022)
Season 2, Episode 3

Bella Thorne enters the AHS universe
4 August 2022
I am really enjoying these weekly short stories. Something to look forward to every Thursday night. This concept in a way reminds me of a modern day take on the Twilight Zone. We meet new story lines and new characters each time we tune into this program for an hour. The world of AHS expands into every aspect of interest wjere a nightmare can take us. A little something for each viewers likes and taste.

Season 2 - Episode 3 : Drive - "A club girls life is turned upside down when the nightlife begins following her home." Bella Thornes performance was actually suspenseful and the viewers should get caught up in her story. Suspense makes good horror. When you do not know what to expect next, your left in shock. When certain events play out your left wondering is there more. That makes good tv.

Everything the first one wished it could be
20 July 2022
I rate this horror gem a 10 out of 10 because what other rating would you give a cast like this. It's not necessary to have seen the first Ouija and this film should not be judged based on what the first film didn't accomplish. The acting was well done with many twists and turns you didn't know what to expect. When you think of modern horror the name Mike Flanagan comes to mind. He is one of the hottest names in horror today. In a way this didn't seem like it was a modern 2016 adaptation of horror but instead gave off classic horror vibes. Which most modern movies do not grasp that classic feel.

Senior Year (2022)

Nostalgic bringing you back to the early 2000s
16 May 2022
Senior Year reached the number 1 spot for trending movies in its first weekend streaming on Netflix.

I have to say I actually enjoyed it. It was funny and kept me interested and that's what a movies purpose is supposed to be. Not taking and analyzing everything so seriously, just viewing and enjoying something other than you're own every day life for a few hours. Love or Hate Rebel Wilson - she is still a funny comedic actor.

Definitely worth a watch. It's a good movie to sit back with a bunch of friends and just have fun with laughs thinking about that time in our lives when we were in our own senior year. Millennials will enjoy the nostalgic tone to this movie such as the ones that came out in the late 90s early 2000s that we grew up with during that time in our lives. Fun chaotic and exciting one cast member described the film. A complex funny little comedy that although has its funny moments & somewhat raunchy jokes there is a heartfelt message surrounding.

Down to the heart and soul of humanity
13 April 2022
Heartwarming and raw to say the least. Please go watch this on Paramount plus. I've always been a huge Cher fan and I adore elephants as well but having the two of these combined in this true story of compassion was emotional to the senses. Cher really did out do herself with this one, probably her greatest gift to Mother Earth. When we think of Celebrities and the rich and famous, the first thing that usually doesn't come to our minds is the idea of humanity or even kindness. We all have heard those horror stories of what Hollywood is really like. In this case Cher has proven herself to not be one of those celebrities. We need more people with a voice to speak up for the innocent. All animals are innocent beings longing for survival. When human neglect takes that away from them the animal is destroyed. I can only imagine what Cher felt while tweeting that first tweet when she came upon this story of Kaavan the world's loneliest elephant. She knew with her platform she had the voice and the opportunity to make something happen. To see her take time out of her busy schedule for an animal, shows how much of a heart she has.

Ghost (1990)

"Ditto" still a masterpiece today....
27 June 2020
One of the great romantic classics of the 90s. A very touching look at life & death and the idea that love will over come all. A movie that surprised me with a supernatural twist. It's no wonder why Whoopi Goldberg won her Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for this film. Oda Mae Brown is a legendary character on film and the way Goldberg brought her to life is truly a remarkable performance. Patrick Swayze was romantically emotional and heroic in this movie.

This movie brings many emotions to the viewer. It's nice to think of those who have passed away being right there with us still. A tear jerker for sure. If you've ever lost a loved one and want to believe there's still life after death remember the love we share with one another lives on. This movie proves that. Love is everything , Love is beyond all. This movie in fact upheld the victory of love and hope. It does make you think about your personal relationships as they stand now, and to value them.

So many genres in this film blend together so perfectly to create this. It has elements of comedy, mostly given to us by Whoopi in her performance. But it also has elements of suspense, horror, and fantasy. But most importantly love. Ghost really has the power to make you believe.

Skinner (1993)

Traci Lords at her best...
26 June 2020
A must have for all 1980s/90s slasher horror fans. The restoration was very good and holds up to today's horror standards. This movie may not be for everyone but for true horror fans this is a cult jem. Most people know Traci Lords & Ricki Lake from their roles together in John Waters musical hit Cry-baby. Skinner is not that film but equally as good. It's interesting to see these two leading ladies take on much darker and mysterious roles. It really shows their credibility and versatile acting skills as some of Hollywood's great actresses. This movie is very interesting because on the surface you're expecting to get a low B slasher movie with cheap screams for fun but there's a lot more going on in this film than that. The performance of Ted Remi in this film as the role of Skinner is a really interesting character study of a psychopath. We get the vision of what it's like to be inside the mind of a crazed individual. I've heard people compare this role to Silence of the lambs and I can see why without copying each other. Truly an artsy creative film that is different than most common slasher films of that era. Give Skinner some attention. It's never boring. The movie is well shot and well made.

A Forever Classic
25 June 2020
The Wizard of Oz is one of Hollywood's most beloved and enduring films. Still one of the best movies ever made. At 80 years old this movie is timeless and still holds up to 2020 standards of film. What else can I say about this classic that hasn't already been said? It's in my top 10 films of all time. Follow the Yellow Brick Road down all those nostalgic memories of this timeless masterpiece. A movie focused all on friendship, family and the idea that's there's "No Place Like Home". Let your mind take you to a world of imagination while watching this. 80 years ago, with no cgi, a simple narrative is crafted and brought to the screen with artistic effects, story telling, humour and style like no other. The actors bring a variety of lovable characters and portrayals that is classic Oscar quality. In the words of The wizard himself

"A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others. -The Wizard of Oz"

a true piece of art
5 April 2015
As soon as I read that there was going to be a follow up from "Lizzie Borden Takes an Ax" (2014), I became overjoyed. I really loved this retelling of one of the most bazaar events to happen in American history. I really feel that the Lifetime channel had outdone it self and now that there's more coming to the story makes me even happier. This has to be one of the best television events to take place over the past few years! Everything about this was amazing. The actors really outdid themselves. This was such a truly talented cast. Christina Ricci and Clea DuVall are most likely two of the most talented actresses of our time. No matter what part they take on whether its film or television, they blow their audiences away. Ricci herself can take any role and transform it into a work of art. With such a long list of accomplishments behind her at such a young age, there's no wonder why she was the one chosen to preform in this. Ricci and DuVall play truly twisted sisters here and I can't wait to dig my teeth into this series and see what happens next! Bravo Lifetime!
