Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Mesmerizing
Starts slow, then you get the shock. Acting is so bad its beyond corny. Lots of shock and blood.
So, even tho it's not a great film or story, once you start, you have to finish to see who wins!
Spoiler alert! At the end there are some surprises!
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)
Nope!
Tried to watch this, very painful. Not worth my time to try for more after the first six episodes.
Bless This Mess (2019)
Waste!
A sow that depicts country folks as simple but wise, city folk as wise but simple, oh wait! Wasn't that the premise of the old Green Acres show? Yup, this sure was a mess! God less their Hearts!
Mary Poppins Returns (2018)
Meh
I was so hopeful for this film. While it was okay, there was some Disney magic to be seen and the plot line was thin, it just didn't have the appeal.
Music was fluff and unlike the original scoring for Mary Poppins, I didn't find any of the selections hum-able much less memorable.
In this version, Mary Poppins, to me, came across as very snobbish sounding rather than that of a know-it-all. Too bad.
The best part of the movie was seeing the original Jane breeze through a scene as well as a very spry Dick Van Dyke.
Book Club (2018)
Wake up!
This movie is slow slow slow! Be sure to set an alarm to wake you up as the credits are rolling past at the end.
Actors did an admirable job of presenting a poorly writing script.
La La Land (2016)
La la la - blah blah blah
Tried so hard to be an epic musical from the fifties, failed miserably, Ryan is only a passable singer and a wooden actor.
One wonders what the hype was all about and how desperate the academy was to nominate this film for an Oscar.
Not a movie that I will be adding to my collection so that I can watch it again. Once was painful enough.
America's Funniest Home Videos (1989)
Alfonso is a DUD
Not funny in his delivery of his lines, tiresome to watch him read the TelePrompTer. Needs to be replaced by someone who has more acting abilities, skill, and believability, then I'd consider giving this show more stars.
The Man in the High Castle (2015)
Oh no!
Riveting story! Outstanding script and acting. So what if there are a few factual goos that only the nit pickers would see.
I tried not to binge watch and actually made this season, 3, last for three days. Come on Amazon! Don't make us wait another year for season 4.
Deadpool 2 (2018)
Bang for the buck? More like fifty cents
Didn't find this to be as laughable or enjoyable as the first Dead Pool. Schtick was lame, premise was lame. Acting was just okay. As with the first movie, continuity was screwed uo, but that was part of the story line,
The Missing Link (2018)
Camp at its worst!
OMG! Did a group of 14 year old hormonal boys put this together? The pace is slow, the acting is meh, the story line is predictable. The very best part is the surprise ending. I'll say no more.
The Shape of Water (2017)
Horror flick from the past
Remember the creature from the black lagoon? Well, this is just a water logged spin. I, like others, wonder what the hype was about, and why did I waste my time and money to see it.
The acting wasn't outstanding, the special effects weren't great even for cgi! I heard and saw reference to too many modern things to keep the aura of the time real.
But, if you must indulge I fantasy, so be it. Be warned there are some graphic, and unnecessary sex scenes.
