Yes I enjoyed this movie
4 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I like a good psychological thriller, and this one was not too bad. I found it to be entertaining and I liked Guy Pierce and the other two main actors (Eve/Pettifer). It's a bit of a fantasy, but if you go along with it, you will find some suspense and I also had some good laughs as I believe there was much humor in this movie.

Pierce portrays a writer who lives secluded but is both easily annoyed and scared. He digs deeper to find out who is writing to him and becomes a mere pond in another persons plot (excuse my English I'm from Norway). The story is not believable in some sense but as a movie it had no plot holes as I could see. I was satisfied with the ending crazy as it was and also fulfilling with regards to the character development of our protagonist.

Boring pretentious movie
28 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I couldn't care less if the multiverse is under attack. This movie will make sense if I took acid. It's not The Matrix, which I loved. I sensed early that this was not for me, as I didn't feel a connection to any of the main characters. It's not funny but maybe if you're drunk it's funny.

Some scenes seem to be entertaining but I just don't understand. I love science fiction. I didn't love this. Pretty must fast forwarded it. Ok so maybe we are split into many personalities like a multiverse but then go and get therapy and don't watch this movie ever. I can't see this movie getting an Oscar..

Nonsense movie that could have been so much better
17 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Florence Pugh does a decent job portraying a house wife in a setting back to the fifties. She is fulfilled by cleaning and cooking and making love to her husband. But after a neighbor wife's sudden death she starts to question her life and what kind of secret work her husband does. It turns out she's been hijacked and brainwashed by her man, and he's living out his fantasy dream life with her in a web program or whatever. In the end she kills him and makes a run for it. And by touching a magical window she retrieves her life back.

The movie is similar to the Stepford Wife's but cannot explain how this scenario could be remotely realistic. The point of the movie is that the men want a life where their wife's attend to them. But to make it happen they must be kidnapping known and unknown women and children, sedating them and then implementing their minds into this virtual reality. So where do they come from, are they also being killed? There are just so many loose ends here. The climax of the movie is our heroine driving full speed with two cars outside here and one coming straight against her. In the middle of the desert. And she just pulls the brakes and the other three cars crash. When she touches the window on the so-called head quarter we now her mind must have returned to her real body. But earlier in the movie she did the same thing and just ended up in sleeping in her bed, so why can she now escape?

The leader of them was also just killed by his wife so we missed a final scene where our heroine fights him and finds a real way back.

Yes I loved this movie
3 February 2022
First time I saw it, I thought it was too vulgar. Then, the second time, I started appreciating it. The movie is packed with fun scenes. The plot and twists are coherent. Strong and Cohen have great chemistry. I like Spy also too much, and this one is just as hilarious. If you laugh out hard you know it was worth the watch.

Relaxing movie for women only
3 February 2022
Very nice French dining and scenery. Sympathetic actors. Actually I fast forwarded it a bit. If you want to chill out with a movie without any drama or exciting things happening, you've got it. Not a movie to watch twice.

Nothing I haven't seen before

I was entertained but that's about it. Some nice extreme sport scenes. Beautiful actors. Too bad Max only was in the movie the first minute. Anyway if you make some pop corn you can watch and forget this movie. It's about what kind of choices you make, and nobody else's choices should make you feel bad.

Action flick for a male audience

Denzel is the superhero in a well produced movie, dark and sinister with lots of violence if you're into that. As for me, there was no emotional involvement and I felt bored. No I cannot recommend this movie.

Yes I enjoyed this movie.

Warning: Spoilers
I love our little heroine, and Moretz is a good enough actress to sit alone in one place most of the movie and still make it interesting. I also found the conversation between the crew very good. Action scenes were also good. Ok so there is a gremlin on board - it just spices up things.

Avoid this one if you can
2 February 2022
So Diane Keaton is a lovely actress and I do enjoy feel good movies. But this is plainly boring except for the opening scene, which was funny. Oh yes, I forgot, the Russian woman and the brother in chains was OK. Apart from that, this was a snooze fest.

Predictable, but sweet

This is a kind of feel good movie, has some fun and some sad moments. Kristin Scott Thomas looks fabulous as usual. Other female leads are also good. It's a movie about women and for women and it's OK to watch. Would I watch it again? Probably not.

Heartfelt but not quite there

Warning: Spoilers
I did like the romance parts with Radha Mitchell. She looks stunning in her airline dress and has so much warmth and beauty in her appearance. However, the other couple didn't interest me that much, actually I found the male lead to be...what can I say...well, not so captivating. But he plays a regular guy who falls in love with a regular girl, so what more is there to expect, after all, stories built on truth are not always that good. However, they add a fantasy marriage and family life, I'm not sure if that's working. The grief played by his family members felt real. Would I watch this again. No.

Boring...
26 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
No suspense. Early disclosure of the postcard killers. It was boring. Based on a better novel than executed on film. Some of the intensity of Jeffrey Dean Morgan is not moving, it just makes me laugh, so much over acting.

It was not exciting
26 November 2021
Kate Beckinsale plays Lindy, a woman with extremely low impulse control. She is also a skilled fighter, a bit naive, speaks British and is quite fun to watch. Sure you can watch this with low expectations. It is efficient and is well produced. But I wouldn't watch it again.

Kind of liked this one
25 November 2021
When you're watching a movie who clones his dead wife, you know what the premises are. The fun is that he needs her to be the same woman he fell in love with, but that seems more and more impossible. And his selfish motives to make her alive again serves up delightful situations and good plot twists. I had a good time, and yes, I would watch it again.

Silly movie
25 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Wife and husband takes on a boy whose dreams become real. What a silly stupid movie. The husband disappears and no one cares. And the boogeyman is the child itself, who heals after a hug. Don't watch this, or maybe, only the trailer, which was good.

Don't watch this one

Warning: Spoilers
Mum tired and afraid. Son tired and afraid. Someone is hiding in their house, but they couldn't afford a night on a hotel. So instead the mad killer, who we never see, kill them both. End of story. I love a good thriller, it doesn't even have to be very good in order for me to watch and enjoy. But this one is a waste of time.

Hilarious spy flick
22 November 2021
Rose Byrne and Melissa McCarthy have great chemistry and there are loads of fun packed scenes in this starlit spy movie which includes great sidekicks, such as Jason Stratham. When Rose and Melissa fire their lines at each other I want to see them and hear them, again and again. And I laugh! The script is brilliant. Would I watch this movie again? Yes I already did, and I will happily do it again.

Yeeees!
22 November 2021
Yes I feel good when watching this movie. Two cast members from "The Bridesmaids" show up as husband and wife in a funny and romantic movie. Rose Byrne is very sweet and a delight to watch, as always. Ethan Hawke sings well, yes it's really him singing, and he nails the character of a worn out but maturing rock star. Chris O'Dowd is also charming and funny. I must say, the cast for this movie was excellent. Would I watch it again? Maybe not, but I enjoyed this one.

Yes I was entertained
21 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Zoe Hull is mourning her mum passed away in cancer and has shut off her emotions. It needed a school shooting to make her come alive again. This sounds cynical, but honestly it felt kind of real. That this girl would rise to the occasion, help so many fellow students and handle tough life and death situations without becoming some monster hit woman. Somehow her feelings felt real. Her heart ache felt real. And her determination felt real. And this movie wasn't about encouraging kids to start school shootings, but of course it's horrible to see the fear and know that these things do really happen and it's horrible. I would probably not watch this movie again, but am looking forward to seeing this actress in the future.

Sicario (2015)

Disappointing, obviously.
20 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I adore Emily Blunt, I do. I would watch any movie with her. But in "Sicario" she plays an annoyingly stupid federal agent who doesn't understand very much, and when she does she overreacts and behaves like a sulking child. The moral of this movie is that drug wars are hurting everyone with a family, and the good guys are no better than the bad ones. And they rub it in again and again. Not surprising plot twist, it was obvious from early on. In the end I didn't give a damn about who died and who didn't, or why they did what they did. Of course I would like to se my dear Emily be the heroine of this flick. I won't watch this movie again.

Not too interesting but little bit funny
19 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this movie for free, and wouldn't recommend anyone to pay money for it. Neither will I watch it again. I put it on 1,5 speed and didn't miss any of the dialogue. That means there isn't much of a dialogue that digs really deep. It started to be funnier after about 50 minutes. Some fun scenes are not funny, though I had some laughs and the confrontational scenes with higher intensity are good. It's a long movie that should have been shortened. I did enjoy "Trainwreck" and would watch it again, but tale of the king of Staten Island is a very forgettable and not well done production. And why did it finish with the all-seeing eye on the back of his T-shirt, seemed a bit creepy.

Not worth your time
19 November 2021
If you enjoy movies that are dull and boring you should definitely watch this one. It was mostly fast forwarding for me, I have to admit. And I'm not too picky. I picked up the story and it kind of was OK, but then again your own life could be just as exciting or dull, so better find something more engaging too watch.

Good movie
19 November 2021
So I really like Casey Affleck and I love his style, his voice, his way of hiding his intensity until it suddenly bursts out in the open. In this movie there are more talented actors. The 16-year old boy is well played. I would like even more scenes between Affleck and his ex, they are both so incredibly gifted actors. The story is good and credible and heartbreaking, yet with glimpses of hope. Yes I would recommend a watch.

Joaquin Phoenix does it again
3 November 2021
What an actor. What a story. This is an art movie, and Phoenix is as usual excellent. The Gotham Universe is crazy, but here it becomes believable, that the Joker started out as a man who only wanted to bring happiness to people.

Family friendly movie
3 November 2021
This is a movie you can watch with your kids. It has some funny moments, and if you liked Robert De Niro in "Meet the parents" this is like a watered out version of it. The boy who plays the grandson is a good actor, too. Uma Thurman, well I really admire this actress, but she doesn't appear as credible when protecting her daughter from her boyfriend.
