Shameless (2011)
Shamelessly predicteble.
After two seasons of shameless watching, it's enough. The first season was fun and daringly different, but then boredom sets in. Sex scenes that are not sex scenes and a nasty politically correct undertone make the series hopelessly predictable. Dad is drunk and unbearable every episode and the caring daughter keeps letting the annoying father in. Two seasons of Shameless would have been enough. And then there is the eternally crying baby with Down syndrome that everyone continues to find cuddly, yes, secretly the series must continue to indicate that everyone can participate. In fact, shameless isn't really shameless anywhere.
Totenfrau (2022)
Everything is wrong here
Totenfrau is a worthwhile series, but why so many strange mistakes in such a series? In the first episode, a Ducati is hit at high speed, killing the rider. The car, which would normally have been badly damaged by a collision with a motorcycle weighing more than 200 kilos, drives away as if nothing had happened. The motorcycle can be repaired and will be picked up by the victim's wife. We see the woman in her fashionable tweed jacket, which flutters open in the wind, without gloves on, riding off on the Ducati through a snowy landscape. Normally, as a motorcyclist, you stop in this situation after 5 kilometers because your fingers are frozen off and your throat is swollen. Otherwise reasonable series.
Damages (2007)
hopelessly bad acting
That top actors like Glen Close, William Hurt and Ted Danson can't make a good series yet proves damages. The camera work is poor and the direction is hopeless, which makes the actors seem to struggle with their roles. 5 stars is the absolute maximum.
Mr. Robot (2015)
Boring
A series with good actors but a story where you quickly fall asleep.
StartUp (2016)
Too much nonsense with bad actors
In startup it is the few good actors that make the series bearable enough to watch, but most of the actors are probably recruited from the cirucus. In scenes where people can talk at a normal level, they yell at each other while it seems that the actors are busy with completely different things. The story is illogical and the script is full of holes. no more than five stars.
Ozark (2017)
Overwhelmingly good.
From the first season is enjoying the fantastic story and the more than excellent actors. Everything is right in this series and everyone shines as an actor. Sometimes Ozark seems better than Breaking Bad, which is actually impossible.
La casa de papel (2017)
Hopelessly boring
Casa de papel is the most tedious boring series I have seen so far. The story rattles on all sides, the dialogues are uninteresting and unnecessary and the actor talent just isn't there. It is therefore a mystery to me why the story of Casa de papel should be spread over 4 seasons. Deserves no more than 4 stars.
La Mante (2017)
Nothing is right in this story I give it four stars.
Never seen anything as stupid as this series, nothing really fits in this series. A suspect is interrogated in the office of two detectives and then first abused by one and then strangled by the other. Because an unrealistic amateurish story.
Hellboy (2019)
It would have been better with Ron Perlham
Hellboy was clearly less funny and less imaginative than the earlier films with Ron Perlham.
The Affair (2014)
An exhausting story with good actors
The affair starts surprisingly different from other series but does not hold that promise. After two seasons, the series in a constant cry of Allison collapses and anger attacks by Cole. Too bad because it started out pretty original.
