Another move redone for money
26 October 2014
I am sick of the common every day family children crap that comes on here. I have been to a theater only a few times in my life. I never get bored, I am not selfish, thankfully am a REAL Christian who woke up to the problems of pushing feminism into the church long ago with women going to church to find rich men who will give them babies and anything they wanted, things totally opposite of the Bible, as women and men are looked at as equal. Men being the head of the household and women submitting to them as their wife in love, etc etc. So now we get these movies that come out obviously directed at these problems of getting the family into the theater without any regard to the issues of conditioning them to accept anything Hollywood throws at them. I give it 5 for action and 0 for everything else. I am a single man, age 44, virgin and never been married. I cannot find any REAL Christian women who understand love, because 99 percent of them have been manipulated and brainwashed by the elitist system in education and business in this world. It makes me so sick, I have zero tolerance for dealing with it. If you want to waste your money on cars, houses, a bunch of babies, you will continue to be a slave to debt and judge others unfairly. Please go away.

bold and thought provoking
27 August 2014
I do not agree with murder in any way, shape or form, and this is the irony of the movie. But you have to admit most of what he is saying is true, and that government and corporations are at the center of evil and corruption in many ways in society and have been for a very long time, for thousands of years. However, for example, Assange and Snowden would never say to go murder people just to get the attention of others or to expose evil. Neither of them did that. The other side of the coin is many people are losing their lives all over the world because of much of what our own government agencies and United Nations has done, and that has actually been proved. These are not just conspiracy theories either. One example he brought out was the 50 children who died by drone for one terrorist who was not even proved a real terrorist. There is something to say about that also from the Obama drone killings. I also know our government is connected to the phony war on terror, which has been connected to the Mossads being the false Al-Qaeda. War is bred from all sides for one order of evil, and this has been seen in history with Rome, Babylon and pretty much everywhere. This movie of course should never be seen as a justification to murder people, as this is clearly wrong, but one reason why things are going sour in a lot of places is what he is talking about, and that is very real. I give it 7 out of 10 for that. Uwe Boll just has some real guts making movies like this considering shootings that have sadly happened, but I can tell you mind control is not far off from that either in connection. We know how to clone, make robots, send out satellites, etc. etc., so how hard is it to think we cannot control a person or groups with any method, especially seeing in the past projects like MK ULtra and the current Project Monarch? Think about that. Dark movie, but good points are made.

Long and constant beating in your face movie
14 July 2014
It was educational at best, to a degree, but kept beating black this and black that over your head until you just shut it off! I saw most of it and I am glad SOME got the idea that racism is just plain stupid and ignorant and that color does NOT matter. Slavery was not even about that. It was about control. The same thing is going on in government today, and the new world order wants to oppress and control all of us. This has already been proved. I have many black friends, but I do not agree that being black means you are not a good person or that being black means you get shafted. Most of your sports people are black and some of the richest people in the world! Michael Jordan, Michael Jackson (sadly taken from us), Denzel Washington in the movies, and the list goes on and on. I do not care what people think of me, and I do not let myself be controlled by history or the past. My friend is Caucasian and does not even know what race he is, nor does he care!!! People are way too selfish, egotistical and prideful, and that's what gets them in trouble. You cannot use your race to blame all people's actions every time something wrong happens or you get the bird on the road, for example. Get over it people! I agree Obama is a crook and a criminal, because he is, but just get over yourself and move on with life.

Very good Tai Chi Kung Fu movie with moral fiber inside.
14 July 2013
I read the reviews from regular users. I feel some missed the point here in this movie. I happen to be experienced at what is taught inside secret societies and underground fighting. Tai Chi is a foundation and a central skill of fighting and meaning. The fight with Tiger Chen and his master is definitely the most impressive. I gave it 7 out of 10 because the lesson he learned that self-control, meditation and humbling yourself makes you more of a winner and better fighter. He learned that finally. His master cared about him deeply and you can tell when he was so concerned about him using his skills for the wrong reasons. Many of the users that would give this a lower score due to the fact of Keanu Reeves and his first directing debut were taking a side trip and missing the movie. Whatever director you have you cannot foil the skills and charisma of Tiger Chen and his master, plus the moral lessons in this film. It was not a perfect film, but you have to notice how incredibly fluid and fast this guy is and in which proves Tai Chi is more than just a style of meditation and moves. However, this also comes with learning control and not letting yourself be moved by possessed anger. I will tell you the moves were authentic, real and had little wire work, barely any. They were real masters of Tai Chi Kung Fu, both Tiger and his master I can tell you that. Anyone that cannot see that has not been in front of this going on outside of a movie like I have. Remember his teacher said he had to slow down and empty himself. It is not all about fighting and speed. It is about using your Katas, focus for your entire movements and being able to transfer and use your Chi instead of just your physical body. In all of this and the lessons, it was a ten score.

Unique, rare and special movie with great music
18 August 2012
I do not like to look at ratings or reviews most of the time, because they are usually from people who simply look at the box cover, actors or are close-minded. Usually very out-of-touch and emotionless viewers also who will never get or understand a movie like this. I have seen it several times, and along with the beautiful piano piece during the beginning, and John Gorka's "I'm From New Jersey" at the end credits, the movie is very mysteriously beautiful and human. This is made for those who have been through events or things in their life that few, if any will grasp or understand. I am also a Christian, and I get some of the symbolism and meanings of human love, heartaches, loneliness and the need for togetherness. I like the way there is narration, and a sense of longing and falling into the scenes. Timeless movie that is hard to find on DVD, since it was originally VHS, being in 1992. I have the rare laser disc print and the DVD, along with the VHS.

Safe (1995)

Excellent and deep movie! One of the best of all-time!
28 January 2010
I am going to set the record straight for the movie "Safe": On a side note about the movie "Safe" by director Todd Haynes, it does not support or center around AIDS or homosexuality. I got a chance to talk to the director himself. Many people are off on criticizing the film for being slow, or confusing or they rate it more to the negative side for all the wrong reasons. Many do catch the movie where it counts, however. The background music, the message and the struggle that this lady endures in spite of her environment and others around her is extraordinary. Now I have seen mention a lot of the retreat that she attends as being "cult", "new age" and descriptions of the people running it and some attendees being "downright creepy losers". This is so much missing the movie's points and reasons, that they might as well be blind. This movie is deep, true and doesn't apologize for it, nor should it have to. Having opinions about something is fine if you really see the truth in what you are reviewing, and frankly many do not, so this movie is lost on them, and sadly so. I for one listen to what is commonly referred to as "new age" music which really has a lot less to do with anything "new age" than often the category suggests or is implied. The same goes for this movie, "Safe". For example, on a music side of this, I also have spoken with William Ackerman, who originally founded Windham Hill music company, and he says people just don't understand the music when they are approaching it from an unjustified and unwarranted standpoint. The music is beautiful, deep, meaningful and life-changing. And that is what good music or a movie is supposed to be. That describes "Safe" perfectly, and the director will back that up. If you don't see it all, talk to Todd Haynes.
