Chills Down Your Spine (2020)
Entertaining enough
First you have to be a fan of low budget & campy films to really appreciate this one. That being said, the base story is pretty bad. Cute & funny sometimes, but still pretty bad none the less.
Megan Garcia does a good job at keeping the humor-ish light enough.
And for those of you who are Doctor Who fans, I swear "Megan Garcia" is the American sister of Jodie Whitaker (British actress & 13th Doctor).
The some of the short stories themselves are actually pretty decent. But what really makes it hard to sit through the entirety of this film is the almost 3 hours length!!
So make yourself comfortable, have the remote control ready to FF through the less entertaining stories. Make sure to have plenty of snacks & booze handy for this night of micro-budge T&A horror comedy fest!
Black Friday (2021)
Bruce Campbell must be hard up for money....
I don't leave reviews often, but I felt I had to this case. This has got to be one of the WORST movies I've seen in a LONG TIME and I just finished watching "ThanksKilling" and "ThanksKilling 3." Both of those movies are absolutely terrible (in a good way!), but at least they're funny! This movie was just stupid, boring, badly acted dumpster fire! And I'm being kind because I like Bruce Campbell!
Party Bus to Hell (2017)
So bad, it's good
It looks like they went to a Goth club & asked "Anyone wanna make a devil worshiping horror comedy?!?!" and half the club screamed "HELL YEA!" Great! We got our Devil worshipers!! They don't even need costumes, they can just wore their own club gear! Who know where they scrounged up the "normies" & burners from. The characters were all stereotypically perfect and played to a T!
The acting was decent, the effects were terrible, and quite a few laughs to be had. If you're a fan of B & C rated movies, you love nudity & blood, then this movie is for you! Grab some beers & popcorn & kick back with some friends for some terrible fun!
The Amityville Murders (2018)
The Amityville Murders: An accurate representation
The Amityville Murders: An accurate representation of what it was like growing up in the 70s. Abusive parents bullying & beating their children, and finally one of them snapped. I'm surprised this kind of thing wasn't more common back then. No demons, devils or haunted house or other supernatural entities necessary.
This isn't a bad addition to the series, but it's not "award winning" great either. The acting is good to mediocre, and the grandmother is by far the worst actor. The movie fills in a blank that's been left hanging for years bringing the series full circle. All in all, I'd say it's worth at least one viewing.
