The Entity (1982)
Great Movie!
This is one of the scariest movies I have ever seen! Only the exorcist and maybe Halloween was scarier. A well made movie based somewhat on a true story that happened in the 1970's. It starts off scary and there are scary parts throughout the movie. It is the best movie I have ever seen about ghosts. Get the DVD, there are extras in it, including a discussion with Dr. Barry Taft who was an eye witness to what happened with this women. The music is scary as well. This movie is a must have for all horror movie fans. Barbara Hershey does a great job portraying the victim of the ghostly attacks. Buy the movie on DVD, you won't be disappointed!
Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed (1969)
A great Hammer Film!
This is my second favorite Hammer film of all time (right behind "Dracula has risen from the grave"). The movie starts off fast and really grabs your attention from the very beginning. Peter Cushing does his usual great job of portraying Baron Frankenstein once again and Veronica Carlson also does a great job in this movie. Don't miss this movie, definetely the best Frankenstein movie Hammer has ever made. Director Terrence Fisher said this is his favorite Hammer film. I give this movie 10 out of 10 stars!
976-Evil II (1991)
A surprisingly good movie, with a hot looking girl!
I have to say this movie surprised me in that it was very well produced and directed. This movie is much better than the original 976-evil movie, the acting is better, the script is better and the characters are more believeable. Now let me talk a little bit about the main character in the movie, her name is Debbie James and wow what a hottie! She is a former Miss Teen USA and a former Miss USA finalist. She is also a former Miss Colorado. Her acting isn't bad either in this movie and she is the main character. I wish Debbie james would appear in more movies (she only has had minor roles in a few subsequent movies) but at least we get to see her as the main character in this interesting movie, which is certainly worth renting and even buying. I give this movie 8 out of 10 stars!
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
The greatest horror movie ever made!
Yes, this is the greatest horror movie ever made! This also happens to be my favorite movie ever made for lots of reasons. First, it is original, nothing before has ever been made like this. It also is very scary and has great special effects. Another thing that makes this movie great is that is has an awesome actress playing the lead role of Nancy Thompson and that is Heather Langenkamp. She is one of my favorite actress of all time, she is smart, funny, kind, caring and beautiful! If you have not seen this movie, go out and rent it, better yet buy it (preferably on dvd). If you have seen this movie, please see it again as it is truly a gem of a film and by far Wes Cravens best directed film. I give this movie 10 out 10 stars, an A+.
Hell Night (1981)
A must see movie for all horror fans!
This is one of my favorite horror movies of all time and also one of the scariest horror movies I have ever seen! Four college students have to spend a night at Garth Manor to be admitted to a college fraternity. It ends up being a long (or short) night for some of them. This movie features everybodys favorite Linda Blair as Marti. The editing and directing of this movie is great and their are plenty of jump out of your seat thrills. The storyline is also excellent and well written, also the music in this movie really sets the tone. You will be scared and excited as you watch this movie, a must see for all horror fans! Definetely a movie worth buying (preferably on dvd). I give this movie 10 out of 10 stars!
The Funhouse (1981)
A great movie from the 1980's
This movie was one of three awesome movies that came out in 1981 (the other two were Halloween II and Hellnight). The movie starts out a little slow but progresses as it moves into the carnival. Then it really picks up steam once the four teenagers are in the funhouse for the night. Watch for the main character, Elizabeth Berridge in her acting debut role as Amy, she does a very impressive job as the lead character. This is one of Tobe Hoopers best films that he has directed, I give this move 8 out of 10 stars.
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968)
The best Hammer Film ever made!
Dracula has risen from the grave truly is the best hammer film ever made! I have seen every hammer film and this movie is #1. Where do I begin, well first let me say this is the best film Freddie Francis has ever directed. The editing along with the directing is excellent. The musical score is out of this world! By far the best music hammer has ever had in any of its movies, it really sets the tone throughout the movie. It also has the best storyline of any of the hammer films (believe me a lot of the hammer films have great plots but this baby takes the cake). Also, this movie has the most beautiful woman to ever appear in a hammer film and that Veronica Carlson! Just the fact that she is in this movie is reason alone to watch it! Christopher Lee does his great job playing dracula once again. I can't get over how well the movie moves along, not to fast, not to slow, just perfect. One of my favorite films ever made! You must see this masterpiece! 10 out 10 stars, an absolute A+ !!!
