Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
The "real" Terminator
In the world where superlatives like "awesome", "amazing", and "stupendous" are liberally tossed around to describe even the mediocre films, I feel at a loss of words to express my astonishment for this film. It is action film, but not a mindless one. The fight scenes, the blasts, the chase, and the crashes are part of the story line, they are moving the story forward. I can't remember any recent film in which action was so cohesively put together as part of the story.
Even the drama in the film relies on subtleties of expressions rather than long-winded dialogues and slapstick humour. The characters are not forced to utter dialogues where none is needed, and neither do they make speeches where a simple grunt suffices.
Naysayers will use the hackneyed "old wine in new bottle", let them. It is a pulse raising film which will keep your eyes glued unblinkingly to the silver screen for 2 hours.
Combien tu m'aimes? (2005)
Not worth watching, not even when you have Bertrand-Belluci combo
I am questioning my intelligence right now on two accounts: firstly, as to what was the movie all about, secondly, as to why did I watch this film in the first place.
The film storyline (or should I call it a story-curve) kept jumping from one point to another faster than Belluci takes her clothes off in the film and in the end I was moaning like Monica Belluci's love making act - but out of agony. The only positive about this picture is the copious amount of nudity, the divine figure of Monica Belluci is worth every penny of $0.00 (thanks Amazon prime) I spent on this film. But then, I was left wondering to myself that I could have easily saved so much time, energy and my precious brain cells by watching these scenes selectively at YouTube.
Therefore, my first ever review on IMDb goes to warn the community to not watch this film and give a negative review which this film so eminently deserves.
