Grew up in the eighties with the original. Watched it many times and again recently. Didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Had a good laugh and the main characters were good in their roles. Funny oneliners and some nice fights. Just watch it, it's different than the original but good and entertaining. McGregor was a nice add as eccentric fighter. Watched it on a lazy afternoon. Its worth a watch. For all you sour viewers, just turn it off and watch something else. If you want to turn off your brain and watch some good action movie, this is for you. If you're a fan of nonsense eighties style action movies watch it. You will not regret it. Fast paced, good witty lines and nice fight scenes.

Nice to see a series with some clean, neat and well mannered people. You do wonder if such a town or place exists. I enjoy the characters, the drama and the sweetness. One can only wish people were so well mannered and kind to each other in real life. I enjoy the development of characters, the way they treat each other and how the story lines develop. Just finished watching season 3 and hope that there will be a season 4. We need more series like this, even if it is just to teach people some manners and that it is possible to sort things out and be nice while doing it. The world today is too hard and some softness is all we need. If you want some good vibes and happy feelings, you must watch this.

Disappointing movie, full of cliches and self pity

Was a bit disappointed. Found the story too slow, not enough details or depth. Just the random cliches. Intelligent young man who is disappointed in the life he has and leads, goes on a path of hate, self destruction and blames the world. Yes, I agree that sometimes life isn't easy, but how you handle it and the choices you make bring you on a path that can go left or right. Finding the right path and making the right decisions is what he should have done. Take the job and help yourself and the family. Father can make his demands, but you don't have to follow them. Make something of your life once you're given the opportunity. Your parents have worked and provided for you. Made sure you had a better life than they had. Make them proud. Show them that you will do better for them. I finished watching, because I wanted to know how it ends, but found the misinformation by the news sad. Taken over by all different countries. Smack down center Amsterdam, full of tourist and people and nobody saw of made clips or pictures afterwards. In the social media life we live in today. Yes, I know that fake news is real, but show the other side too. For me it was disappointing. Movie had good intentions but didn't grow the topic ...... just too easy.

We were watching the first episode and it god me so worked up, angry and full of hate that I would have hurt the bullies read bad. Cannot stand bullies and even though the come from a broken family with no morals, the fact that you enjoy hurting a person because you can is very unsettling. I would have gladly destroyed this group of people that are only doing this because they can and have backup from other friends. Cowards, find it disgusting how the school system looks the other way. This series is a prime example that changes in the school system, at home and with law enforcement are necessary. Shaming and expulsion, fines and no chance at a future at this school, are needed. I think it should be mandatory at school, same for Requiem for a Dream, Das Experiment. Kids don't understand consequences and what pain they're causing.

Watched it as it came up on Netflix while searching another movie. As I loved the Scorpion King with the Rock, this was barely watchable and I just finished because I hate to not see the end. But just watch it if you really have nothing else to do and you don't want to stress your brain. Cannot believe there is a Scorpion 3 and 4. I'm sure a lot of money was spend on graphics, wardrobe, extra's, special effects and so on. Not sure if they made a profit. But considering there a sequels they must have made some money. Not sure if I'm up to watch number 3 and 4 but maybe on a rainy afternoon, with nothing to do, just to satisfy my curiosity of how this tale continues. I might just end up reading Wikipedia to see how the stories continue. Would be less time wise and less boring.

Trying not to give away spoilers I can only say that I was really looking forward to this movie and was happy when we could finally rent it But it was a total disappointment. Bad acting, weird accents, just couldn't get into it. And I wasn't the only one. My partner fell asleep and I turned it off. We decided after an half hour to finish watching it as we paid for it, but this is the first time it was really a waste of money and time. Probably it looked good on paper considering the stellar cast. But all the talent couldn't save this movie. Well, enough with the negativity, I found it a waste and will not watch it again. If you really want to see it, wait for it to become available to watch for free. Don't waste your money.

Was real curious after watching the commercials on Dutch tv. It did not disappoint and it took me back to the eighties. Amsterdam, the discotheques, the music. The sexiness was a story I had heard about, but it's nice to now a bit more. Of course I googled straight after to find out how they ended up. Characters were good, storyline was good. Very enjoyable and easy watch, but I love the eighties, reminds me of growing up and becoming a teenager. Worth a watch!

Could have been a good movie

It was an interesting subject and it had some nice twists. Living in the Netherlands I have seen my fair share of Dutch movies, but this was quite decent. Dutch chick flick with a dark undertone, I would consider it. Don't think that a lot of men would find it interesting, but that is merely an assumption. The subject was very interesting and could have been worked out better, also the ending is too open and in some cases it doesn't make any sense, so I have the feeling that it has been wrapped up as they were out of time. I have watched it in 6 times as I kept falling asleep (middle of the night), so I might have missed something. Nice enough movie to watch on a rainy Sunday.

Just finished watching the movie and I must say it wasn't that bad, cliché subject but also a good review of today's society and social media behaviour. Politically correct behaviour is the norm and anyone that transgresses can get subject to public wrath. Empathy, past, nature and common sense is not for the masses. People follow and act as hysterical groups, never thinking about consequences and what is right or wrong. Very black and white where there is no place for anything that isn't considered "correct". Unfortunately we are again living in a society that feels that anything can be an offence or offended.
