Bupkis (2023)
I have to admit, it was pretty well done!
Although some of the sexual innuendos were a bit too dark for me, it was a very imaginative well done series. It was very funny and sad at some points, yet it had a very unique storyline for each episode. A brilliant collaboration of real life with fiction in a way I've never seen before and that's what really blew me away. I wish people could just separate their feelings about Pete, and just look at the artistic way of how these episodes were created and shot because that's the most important thing. He definitely has extreme talent, very good writing skills along with those who collaborated with him to bring this series alive. Pete has set the precedent for other celebrities. I believe we will start to see other celebrities following in his footsteps, using the same style Pete has created to tell his story in his series "Bupkis". Each character in his episodes acting skills were amazing to me. I can totally understand why they all wanted to be a part of this series because it's an amazing story to tell and the way it was told. I just don't understand why people have to be so hateful when there's no reason to be hateful. I say this, because there are some low ratings and reviews for this series. Sure, we all have a right to our own opinions. But not entitled to our own facts. The fact is, aside from Pete Davidson, there's no way that you cannot see the brilliancy of how his story is being told in this series.
The Young Messiah (2016)
It was just...
...an excellent film. The story was so intriguing and the child who portrayed young Jesus was very believable. I really enjoyed everything about the story, combining what may have occurred during His younger years, both biblically and culturally. It brings a humanistic personal touch to the story, even though the Bible doesn't specifically go into details about His life as a child. This film was and is worth watching. I definitely had to see where the story was going and how it would end. I've always wondered what His life may have been like as a younger child. I definitely can understand why He would have questions as a younger child at seven years.
Meet Cute (2022)
Intriguing
It was a beautiful story about hope and the struggle of just being. I didn't know what to expect but I was definitely intrigued throughout the entire film. The chemistry was absolutely there between the two actors, their performance was realistic. The concept and the twist in the story was enlightening. It had its sad moments and funny moments. The tolerance and love both character had to face was inspirational. It teaches us struggles are real and they are possible to overcome. This is definitely not a shallow film and deals with real emotions. I enjoyed it and I believe it is worth watching.
The Princess (2022)
Worthy!!!
Wow, I really liked the film. The fighting scenes were amazing. From the beginning to the end the main character proved there's more to her than meets the eye and she's worthy of the kings trust.
Servant (2019)
Brilliant, Really Good!
This series is eerie, the tone and atmosphere is very chilling. As soon as you start to empathize with a character you find yourself shifting your empathy towards the character you thought was the villain. The plot is interesting and it's scary to know there are some people who really behave and think the way these characters are portrayed. Also, it's aesthetically beautiful, the coloring and the framing of each shot really brings you into that chilling mood.
Beckman (2020)
Very impressive for a faith based movie!
The Bible has so many stories of violence throughout the Old and New Testament it's rarely ever acknowledged. This movie shows realism on how hard it is to over come hate and vengeance. It takes courage to truly have faith in God through tough times.
The King of Staten Island (2020)
Brilliant
The King of Staten Island was an amazingly funny, inspiring and heartbreaking story all-in-one. A very well made film with all the right actors and actresses. Pete Davidson was brilliant. It's worth adding to your movie collection.
All Day and a Night (2020)
An EXCELLENT film but VERY SAD
This film was so overwhelmingly realistic. The acting was amazing and I was so drawn into the characters lives. It was very sad to see children affected by poverty and the bad choices people made around them. It was a very well made movie with a lot of thought put into it.
Big Time Adolescence (2019)
Kudos to all!
I never had an incentive to sign up with Hulu before. But now that Pete's "BIG TIME ADOLESCENCES" is out, I signed up today so I could watch it. Wow, the acting was so good, everyone's character was believable. Without giving too much away, the ending was sad to me. A very well done movie.
Pete Davidson: Alive from New York (2020)
Brilliant!
Without giving too much away, I will say this...the realism of his jokes are funny. His sense of humor is so relatable. I watched it twice. It's so remarkable how he can tell a story with so much amusement. You're like, no...he did not just say that. It's so funny and true, and we're all thinking it. Most people don't like to admit it. His delivery is brilliant!
Taking Earth (2017)
I liked it!
I just finished watching Taking Earth on Netflix. I thought it was a pretty good sci-fi for a low budget film. I thought the CGI was pretty good. The cinematography was nice. The actors were believable for unknown actors, at least I'm not familiar with any of them. So many people like to throw their opinions about what movie is good and what movie is bad. But can they do better. They probably can't even create CGI, for that matter a fact create a film with all the aspects needed to tell a story. If you've got Netflix, I recommend watching it. Keep in mind as you're watching it, it is a low budget film but they did some pretty good work with what they had. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
