Love me a fun horror
2 March 2023
What an amazing movie this was it was funny and scary while being emotional and moving too. The actors and actresses in the movie were all very good you had Allison Williams playing the very talented Roboticist Gemma and you also had Violet McGraw who plays Cady in the movie who is also a very young and talented actress who I'm sure will go far.

Violet does such a amazing job throughout the movie you see all of the stuff she has to go through and all of the different emotions she has to portray and she just does it amazingly she has a very bright future. Also what makes this movie even more frightening is that it is kind of realistic because that could actually happen in the future we could get actual robot dolls for kids I mean come on they are already building robots now and god knows what would happen if the movie turns out to be reality robots are dangerous things that could be unpredictable so let's hope that the movie just stays a movie right.

Anyways this movie was just phenomenal the actress who plays M3gan does an amazing job and the two young actresses just worked so well together in the movie I mean it was just a perfect casting. This movie is definitely going to be one of the best horror's of this year and it has Chucky vibes so yeah they are really scary movies too. Also at the end of this movie you get hints of a sequel because of that AI thing in Gemma's house could M3gan's mind let's say be inside that thing who knows.

Great Piece of Indie Cinema
2 March 2023
Sometimes indie cinema hits and sometimes it just completely misses. This is the former! It's great to see what the independent landscape can provide when done well.

This movie caught me by surprise because I didn't know what to expect. It's done very well. The only way it could struggle is because it sometimes feels like a much bigger film and you can see what the filmmakers could possibly do with a bigger budget.

Lead actor Anthony Molinari is phenomenal playing the anti-hero and person against the ropes. Supporting actor Mister Fitzgerald stuck out for me too. I hope we see more of him. He brings a strong honest quality.

Director and Producer Jonathan Salemi really achieved a lot with a little and told a very non pretentious story whereas many indies sometimes feel like they're being something they're not. I look forward to seeing what he does next with a bigger budget.

The only unfortunate thing is this movie won't get the marketing blitz behind it that a larger film would and that's unfortunate because the film really stands up on its own and competes with movies 10x its size. Well done indie Hollywood!!! Btw, great death scene in the middle of the movie. Wasn't expecting it nor my daughter, ha!

Fun little heist type film
2 March 2023
I have watched this movie twice so far, and found it extremely compelling and satisfying both times. Aubrey Plaza is primarily known for her cutting-edge dark comedy, in which she excels. This is the only completely dramatic role I've ever seen her in, and she killed it. Also she is Executive Producer for this movie, under the auspice of Evil Hag Productions...which is right on brand for her.

I want to see more Aubrey Plaza and it seems she has no ceiling when it comes to her acting range. This is a must see for independent movie fans.

The movie can be formulaic at times but that's ok given that we're seeing something new and not the fodder that Hollywood peddles out. Aubrey plays a strong female and the film is shot very well.

I hope she plays this type of character more.
