Harlem (2021)
Love love
When I tell you I love Angie I love Angie! I mean I love all the characters but the actress who plays Angie is PUH-LAYING Angie.
Okay here's my review. I appreciate the attention that's put to each character. There's no one star in this show. All the characters shine -- even the supporting cast. Jasmine Guy and Rachel True shone like the stars they are. And the dude that plays Jameson. Omgeee. He is killing intellectual, smooth, down-to-earth, hotness.
There were so many scenes I could rewatch over and over. 1. Angie's audition for My Boo. Huh-larious. She's serious, silly, committed and questioning. She's ev.er.y.thing. And her wardrobe is fire.
Quinn broke my heart this season. Omgeee. Like I'm checking her IG to see how the actress is doing. Congrats on the baby BTW!
And the weed scene. I've never gotten high but dang I both wanted to try it and didn't after seeing. Ian and Camille. Ian was huh-larious. I mean give this man his own comedy show! Like he is such a skillful actor I am not sitting there the whole time focused on how fine he is. Like I'm seeing his fineness but also his heart, his immaturity, his fear, etc.
The scene with Ian and Jameson. Loved it!
Ty being the old chick. I was mad at them heffas for not taking a jello shot with her. She paid for most of the trip, dang.
And Mike. I love Mike. If it's he and Angie who are expecting then woo! That baby is gonna have a lot of personality and love. And the part when Angie goes home? I could rewatch that over and over. Her mama telling her it was some Trader Joe's dip keeps running through my mind. Huh-larious! I love stuff that we write produce and direct. I hineslty don't really know who's writing producing and directing this show but they are doing a great job so thank you.
What We Found (2020)
Great Acting
Jordan Hall was great in this movie. The acting was great all around. Hate that they had this whole redemption story with the bad cop. He should've been put under jail. The captain suspected he was trash but kept him on the case. Ugh! Maybe this is just how it is in real life. I actually kept thinking this story was based on a real life story. Like they made a film about something that happened in a smal town. I envisioned the town gathering to honor the memory of the girl and the heroic actions of the teen.
But yeah, I dunno how much these actors were paid but they should be money makers--specifically Marcus, his mom, his BFF, the dead girl and her drug dealing boyfriend. They made the budget of this film a non-issue.
