An Absolutely Wasted Opportunity!!
25 August 2023
I was eager to watch this show, I love Talos' character and I was looking forward to see what they would do with the skrulls. Its a shame to say it was an utter disappointment. Once again, like most media makes older male characters nowadays, Fury is old and incompetent. Talos was enjoyable, but doesn't have nearly enough screen time. Some new characters are introduced. Most are mediocre. Gia played by Emelia Clarke, was bland and went through minimal character development. Maria Hill was a complete disappointment. Her and Fury were one of my favorite duos in the MCU.

Now, plot wise. Flawed.

The show made the mistake of introducing the secret invasion idea in the show, when you know it will be resolved with in a few hours of watch time. There lacks tension or depth. Less of a spy thriller more of a bore. Only watching in the hope it will get better, or that you want to keep on top of the marvel content.

The ideas of secret invasion should have been an entire marvel phase. So the concept is much more meaningful and larger twists over several years of film of characters being skrulls rather than over five weeks. It is a shame they let it be such a waste. I would have way preferred a Invasion Saga rather than a Multiverse Saga. I think almost everyone is sick of the multiverse.

It seems marvel has done it's day.

Finally! A good Marvel movie!
19 May 2023
Man, after a large amount of duds we finally get a Marvel movie with the classic Marvel feel. This movie was both laugh out loud funny and horribly heart wrenching (in a good way). This is what I wanted in a "Final Tour": awesome action sequences, fantastic characters, gotg style constant humour (that is actually funny unlike Thor 4). Volume 3 delivered!

I do have the gripe that the conclusion happened too quickly for a final movie and I would have liked a slightly better goodbye to the characters. I found that after the climax there was less than ten minutes, which I don't think was long enough.

There are criticisms about Adam Warlock not being in it long enough, but Mantis had about the same amount of time in Guardians 2, this movie is just the beginning for him, so it's just an introduction.

Gotta be honest, this was a high peak in the Marvel-movie-good-ness chart, but this is probably gonna be the last good Marvel movie. With Gunn putting on his red cape and flying to DC, I think Marvel is a lost cause.

Far Exceeded My Expectations!!
24 April 2023
I went to watch this a few days ago with no prior knowledge of anything about D&D. I didn't even watch the trailer. It was extremely funny, I was laughing all through it. It was very silly, but it held itself together very well, similar to Thor Ragnarok. I can imagine that serious D&D players might not enjoy that aspect, though I'm not sure how serious the game gets, all I know is that it is meant to last ages. Cris Pine was great, Hugh Grant was fantastic, and everyone else was also super funny. The plot wasn't super original or anything, but I would recommend this to anyone, and I already have to about twenty people. It is well worth the money as it is a great action/adventure/fantasy/comedy. A bit of a cross between Indiana Jones, Lord of the rings and The Princess Bride. I was laughing out load for at least twenty minutes throughout. So go watch it. Definitely.

Cliche Story, Beautifully Executed
24 January 2023
The story is pretty similar to the first. Discovering a new part of Pandora... Humans coming... Fighting humans... Yeah it has the same story, BUT it is so beautiful to watch. And their are so many great characters. The chemistry with the siblings, the jokes about them traveling... I loved this movie. I was so impressed that Sigourny Weaver could play a 14 year old so well!! This movie was an epic rollercoaster! New creatures! Awesome battles! I found it amazing! I know a lot of my friends found it boring, but I was near tears at the end. Cameron did it again. Cliche story, but the execution of it was amazing!!

Bluey (2018– )

What more do you want in a show?
24 January 2023
This may be embarrassing, but I am sixteen and watch Bluey whenever I get the chance. I'm usually joined by my 18 and 20 year old siblings and my parents, we spend most of the time laughing out loud. Definitely my favorite show, and it reflects Aussie charm perfectly! A definite watch! I love that it has great family humour and a few laughs for the older members of the family. The animation is perfect. And all the background Easter eggs! It is a touching series that not only entertains young children, but also teaches a lot about how to be a good parent along the way! If you have a young family you will love this. And if you are an Aussie of any age you will love it too!
