Don't Make Me Go (2022)
Exploitative in every way
Exploitative weepy with a weak script and direction. Acting is good. And what is it with the cringe-worthy efforts to show full frontal male nudity while trying to avoid full frontal female nudity, e.g. The scene at the nude beach with elderly couple - him fully naked, her with pants on. It seems that this is the go to exploitative scene for some female writers and directors when you have a dearth of talent on the writing and directing front.
The Lost City (2022)
Ad nauseum
OMG this is a dreadful movie. Without the Brad Pitt cameo it would have been zero stars.
Apart from the fact that it has been done many times before, and never as badly, this has an illogical, cliché-ridden script, poor direction and C grade acting from the leads. And, once again, gratuitous male nudity. Simply sad.
Minx (2022)
How did this trash get to air?
What is unbelievable about this series is how it got aired at all. Cringeworthy comedy in a down-market and very badly written vehicle. Astonishingly bad.
Succession (2018)
Brilliant
This is a truly absorbing series. Wonderful writing, direction and acting. Nuanced and at times chilling it is a believable, if sometimes black, interpretation of corporate and personal power dynamics.
