Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998)
The best Scooby-Doo movie ever!
There is no dubt in my opinion that this was, is, and will be the best Scooby-Doo movie ever made!
When I was a kid I was shitting myself watching this movie, it really was scary for the younger me. I think that these are the most terrifying monsters, the design was very creepy and scary. This is what I wanted all the animated horror movies to be when I was little. I hope all the people that watch these new Scooby-Doo 3 y.o. Tv shows that are in 2022 will give this a shot, because this is PRIME Scooby-Doo, and it will never again be as good as this was!
I can't find anything wrong about this film even if I try!
Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf (1988)
Almost as good as when I was younger!
The main problem and the biggest turn off is the lenght. This movie could've easily be at just under 60 mins and still very good. Except for that, I think it was the best Scooby-Doo movie until then, all the ones before feeling just as long (Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood / Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers / Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School).
I myself am a car enthusiast since I was born, and I remember this being top 3 Scooby-Doo movies just because I love racing. It's a beautiful film in my opinion, lots of cool cars and traps, it was enjoyable to watch even now (age 18) tho it feeled soo long.
It's not for everyone since half of the plot is just racing while Dracula tries to stop Shaggy from winning, and there are no misteries to solve, but for me it was a pleasure to watch it.
Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School (1988)
Good but not as I remembered
It's a 7.4 I'd say, it's good and fun to watch, Scrappy is a bit annoying like always, but not irritating. There are some jokes that are meh, but I'm 18 and when I was younger I laughed, plus the movie is way older than me, so I can't complain much. The girls were well designed and their personalities matched every one of them. A bit long, plus the rap at the end seemed a bit out of place.
Overall it was enjoyable, I don't regret watching it, and I liked it better than the previous two: Scooby-Doo goes Hollywod / Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers.
Reccomend to anyone!
A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004)
It was good, but not great!
From my perspective at least, I felt like something was missing 3/4 of the movie, it needed more WOW, more violence maybe. It was a bit plain and I know it was dark, but not dark enough. It could've been much better. Sadly its PG rated, but it was good for what it was.
The good part is the environments, they were fantastic along with the characters. Combined, they made a great vibe for every part of the movie. The actors did a fantastic job, they made every character feel real.
The experience was good for me, could've been better, but its a good movie to watch with the family, espacially if there are kids alongside.
Est - Dittatura Last Minute (2020)
Nice take
I'm from Romania myself. Even if some parts were a tiny bit exagerated, the overall feelings and emotions were wonderful and very well integrated. They made it seem like western Europe is above east, and they made the main characters and the story a bit arrogant about it, which is exactly what happened at the time, and it made the story even more credible. The environments, the vibe, the feelings, the scenes, they were all in perfect armony to make the movie good. The acting was very powerful, wonderful really. Overall a very good portrait on the communism and the time being!
