Tiny Beautiful Things (2023)
Surprising find and yet so needed
I saw the trailers a couple times and thought I'd try it. Wow! An emotional tale about love, loss and being human. Yes I cried at each episode as I lost my mom a couple of years ago, albeit not as a young woman but could absolutely relate to the enormity of the loss.
As a parent as a wife there are clearly struggles in staying afloat. This story focused in my opinion on keeping your sanity while attempting to honor your boundaries. I.e. Lucas. The daddy issues I just can't too surreal. Loved this mini series. I'm interested in the marriage outcome, and I hope they bring it back for another 8 episodes, but maybe this was enough.
The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey (2022)
So True to Life
The first episode got me with the apartment in a disarray and papers stacked and bugs crawling. Toward the end if my mothers life I couldn't understand why she called herself cleaning up but was stacking papers. Couldn't tell the difference between the phone and remote. So yes this resonated with me the sadness of no longer being able to control your own thoughts.
The plot, the superb performance of Mr Jackson - I wish it was widely advertised as this was a phenomenal story.
