Mulan (2020)

Someone give life to these actors.

The costumes and the fight choreography was well put together, the cinematography was decent at best. The acting performance by the main actress playing Mulan lacked emotion and very uncharismatic for the role. Donnie Yang and the fellow soldiers were charismatic enough to carry some of the scenes in the film, but certainly not enough.

Men in Black: International (2019)

Very surprised at the hate. I thought it was great.

Last night I saw Men in Black International and it was soo much fun, the chemistry between Tessa and Chris was fantastic, Chris character was so funny and I would say the weapons they had was cool. I will say that that it does have a couple of plot hole issues, a bit predictable, but in my opinion it's nothing that would affect the film. I didn't like MB 2, but I enjoy this one, I wonder if the hate is political because Liam Neeson is in it, who knows and I don't care, it was an enjoyable film and I enjoyed it. Go See It.

Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019) Season 8, Episode 3

The mood was great at the beginning, but it just fell apart.

At the beginning I thought the mood was great, Missandre shows up does something cool with the Dothraki swords, the tone was good. After 30 minutes It felt apart with the writing and the ending was disappointing I was hoping for a better outcome. I love the characters, I love Arya and Jon, but it just fell apart. I hope things get a lot better, I hope the writing improves. Production wise, it's high quality with CGI, it's just the decision making by the show runners that I question for this episode, I hope things improve for the last remaining episodes.

Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)

I still can't believe that Last Jedi has a high rating on rotten tomatoes.

It amazes me that this film has a high rating here and in rotten tomatoes, what did they see that I didn't. This film is just awful and it has nothing to do with the diversity that is just nonsense or Russians or whatever excuse people are coming up with. I can put a few Marvel film or any Game of Thrones episode against this movie in terms of quality. The film look good in terms of visuals, as far as story direction and questionable characters and decision making is what killed this film, how they use Mark Hamil was insulting. May avoid the last film altogether. I'am no longer a Star Wars fan.

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015)

No Star Wars Magic

After seen this film a second time you realize it just doesn't measure up, yes it made a ton of money and people are been too generous with the rating of this film, but the story felt like remake rather than continuation of the series. So many missed opportunities in terms of story development and character development. I thought the casting was OK, but the actors were not put in the right roles. I didn't connect with any of the characters at all or care for them, the story was very dumb down as to insult the fans. I' am still hope full that they can turn it around and make better on this tragedy with Rogue one and the next one after that.

The Liberator (2013)

Put together nicely, but it lack story development

I saw this film a few months back, it was a limited release film. My main reason for watching this film was for the History aspect of it, I've not seen anything that relates to the South American Revolution and was eager to see it, because no filmmaker in Hollywood has made a film with that theme.The film takes place in the early 1800s with Spain dealing with rebellion through the continent, as the people from Latin America seek freedom from Spain. So on to the review, I enjoyed the film greatly, with great visuals, superb acting, great photography. What the film lack and this is what disappointed me the most was story structure, character development. I wanted to get to know some these historic figures a lot more, it seemed rush a times, during certain scenes you wanted to know what this guy was about or some of the female characters. I felt this film had a lot of potential to be something more if they just spend more time on story and the characters.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014)

Thorin and Bilbo were the best par of this film

I guess the book worms are still heated over the decision of making it into three films, I wish these people would quit crying and Go away, if you don't like Pete's decision don't see it. Now to the review, I will say that I enjoyed this film, the acting was superb especially with Richard Armitage, he should definitely get some kind of recognition for his performance, it reminded me of Borimir. Martin freeman was outstanding also and the others had great moments. The pacing of the film was much better The individual fight sequences were well put together. The film was almost at quality of LOTR, but it failed in some parts and it was all decision making by Peter Jackson, some characters should've not been part of the film and others should've had more screen time. The movie has it's Jar Jar Binks which I think the intention was to provide comic Relief and it failed. If your going to steer away from the book which I have no problem with, than do it right. The CGI was good in some places and in others parts not so much. I had my issues with the CGI in ROTK and I wish he would of shot it in film instead of 4k video. Overall I give this film 8 and it's because of the acting of the main characters that carry the film.

Zero Dark Thirty (2012)

Three hours felt like Nine hours

Well made, but my girlfriend and I fell a sleep in the movie theater, don't get me wrong it's a well made film, but three hours felt like nine hours. Last time I felt a sleep in the Theater was when I went to see "A Thin Red Line". Woke up during the torture scene and a few a minutes later ZZZzzz..If you have a bit of a short attention span for slow and heavy diologue films, I recommend to just rent the film and watch an hour at a time.It's a bit torturous, even with a torture scene in it lol! I don't think it's worth the Oscar nomination.There was a lot of stronger fims out there, that should've made the cut, this film is not one of them.

The Beast of Bray Road (2005)

A waste of rental money

I saw this movie two days ago,In hope to show an investor, examples of independent films thank god I had Napeleon Dynamite on hand,a true sample of what an ultra low budget should look like.I can be a forgiving viewer when it comes to independent films.I've watched my share of garbage-amateur-horrible-z-grade horror, but Leigh Slawner's: The Beast of Bray Road Flats must be the worst ever! If there ever was a movie, which deserved to be shelve this must be it.I was very well surprised by the extremely low quality of the movie,considering the fact that this movie cost more to make than Napeleon Dynamite.

I was curious to hear the commentary of the filmmakers,to see what minds were involve in this project and all I can hear were fourth graders making fun of their home movie.

I am wondering why this piece of garbage was ever made. The characters are so lame you have no motivation to cheer for anyone.To any one who suffers from insomnia, I recommend this film as a great sleeping aid and if you want to punish your kids for doing wrong, this would make a great tool for punishing them or make a criminal talk.

Most bad movies have a certain good in them (usually comedy), but alas, this movie beats out anything else thrown at it. Instead of causing laughter, it caused pain.

It seems as though the director duct-taped a broken mic to the top of his camera and hoped it would capture anything, all I can hear were cars during intimate moments, Because of this, One can barely understand the dialog. The camera guy was terrible because he doesn't know what a polarizer filter is for,and the lighting was bad at the bar scene that I had to increase the brightness on my TV.

The only positive thing about this movie was the ending credits and when I tab open on my DVD player.

Catwoman (2004)

I saw this the other day, and I was disappointed with the acting and direction with this movie, If they would have concentrated on a better plot and a different actress, like Michelle pheiferr reprising her role from Batmanreturns It would have been a better a movie,because I think she has the charm to play the cat woman,she was made to play the cat woman.I am not going to talk much about the movie because I stop watching after an hour passed. I just turn off the movie and enough said. Now about Halle berry having her own x-men spin off with storm I hope not because their isn't much about that character storm, the whole x-men series is really about wolverine, and making a movie for her would not make sense. So don't bother buying, renting or watching cat women, cause you'll want to trow up.
