The Morning Show: The Interview (2019)
The way Yanko described the weather was accurate and made me cry.
I'm a weather nerd and the analogy between how he described ENSO and how it was analogous to what happened in the episode and what was to come was absolutely captivating and wonderful writing. This is one of the best episodes of any TV series I've ever seen. I loved the way they turned the keys together on the doors like it was "the nuclear option" and how important it was to go after the ones who feel like they're invincible, to cause the upwelling of the figurative ocean and then the Niño-Niña cycle that will eventually follow, bouncing back and forth in a struggle for power and control over a situation that is beyond total control. There will always be chaos and certain aspects of humanity that we will never fully understand but must be aware of how important we all are together, treating one another as an important person, researching and understanding what we previously did not before. So brilliant and moving.
The League: Epi Sexy (2014)
As someone with epilepsy, this is the worst episode of the series.
The series is mildly entertaining, though I feel it hasn't aged well. I'm someone that has epilepsy and this is one of the most insensitive episodes, or any pieces of media I've ever watched that involves the condition. It's incredibly misunderstanding of what epilepsy entails, and makes light of a serious subject. I hope Hulu removes the episode from the service because it's not satire, it's just incredibly cruel to those that suffer from epilepsy and experience seizures a lot like myself. This episode being rated as highly as it is, gives me the impression that people globally don't seem to understand how serious the condition is.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Gang Goes Bowling (2023)
They still have it
These people are comedy legends and it's incredible that they can keep coming up with fresh, really funny episodes. Laughed so much during this one. Best episode since season 12. They deserve the accolades they have made for themselves. I remember watching the first season of this show, seeing that it was very similar to a Seinfeld situation in terms of how short it was, but there were little things in there that still presented themselves in this one. And what's so wonderful is that they have embraced the fact that they've been a live-action cartoon show since season 2. This episode shows the wonderful ways to give the characters their mannerisms that fit so well into the show.
