From (2022)
Same cheating of Lost series
As the second season comes to an end, it's impossible to shake off the feeling we're being cheated from the series creators, the exact same which desapointed the world on the Lost series.
It's exactly the same modus operandi: they are weak creators who crave for money at any cost, so they can only pile up one mystery after another, promissing a satisfactory explanation that will never come.
Who watched Lost was hooked by the dozens of mysteries that were presented on the first episodes, and continued to be presented on, just to discover that everything wrapped up in one easy, lazy explanation: the characters were dead in a sort of purgatory were anything could happen.
Now, in From, after 2 seasons of no explanation of anything, we see the same poor and lazy ending coming towards us.
Pinocchio (2022)
How could they ruin it so badly?
It's Disney, so I wasn't expecting something like the different Guilhermo Del Toro version.
But even Disney told a very good story in 1940, in the "original" Pinocchio... ok, the 1940 animation it's nothing like the original story written in Italy on the 19th century; but it's still a joyfull story, and introduced one of the most beautiful songs ever.
This 2022 version, although... just another Disney penny maker... a soulless, dull and boring movie.
Only interesting thing is to notice how the Pleasure Island resembles the Disney Parks themselves... surely it was not proposital, yet one cannot shake off this resemblance.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Lazy plot, waste of canonic characters
A shamefull lazy plot, resultante in a total waste of canonic characters mixed with new boring ones.
The 10 final minutes of the 5th episode are only thing worth seeing.
Outer Range (2022)
Nonsense
It may make sense someday, maybe on the 2nd. Season.
Until then, it's a stellar cast lost in a weak, undecided plot. Cannot understand all the hype around this series...
Amadeus (1984)
A great movie, but merely fictional
It's almost a flawless movie, but people shouldn't not take it as a real depiction of Mozart's and Salieri's lifes... The majority of the things never happened.
Yet, it's a 3 hour movie so very well made; it strongly catches one's attention till the end.
War Dogs (2016)
Rolling Stones article is better
It's a good movie, based on real facts, but not so accurate... Rolling Stones magazine article was more preoccupied with the truth, and the true story is more amazing and incredible than the movie.
The King's Man (2021)
Smart movie, great research
The movie is a fantasy applied to real historical facts, many not very well knew, as the English concentration camps in Africa, or the fact that the 3 regents os the country's which initiated the 1st war were cousins. It's amazing how rhe writer used and recreated many real facts, and applied his fantasies on it.
Scream (2022)
Not a scary movie, but worth it
Not a scary movie, but worth seeing it because of the smart metalanguage uses, and the subtle homages to scary movies of the past, and their directors.

The Book of Boba Fett (2021)
Saved by Mandalorian and the little Yoda
It started quite uninteresting, but, on the last episodes, it turned into a short 2.5th season of The Mandalorian, and it was saved by it and the little Yoda.
1883 (2021)
How did they do it?
Never had seen dialogues so powerful and deep, and they did it in an old west movie, without mischaracterizing anything. The characters are still old west people, but their dramas are timeless.
What a work of art, this series.
Superman (1978)
A great all time movie
I try to see old movies with the eyes of when they were made.
I was naive at the 70's, and this movie may also look naive, but it's not. It's first hour is just timeless.
Many beautiful dialogues and messages were thought for this film... some, however, couldn't avoid their time, like the "defense of the American way of life".
Some people may not pay attention to the dialogues, and would prefer it was just senseless action, but, it that case, they should drop this beautiful movie and go for the empty last Superman movie made by Zack Snider.
Station Eleven (2021)
What is the essence of humanity?
This different approach to an apocalypse is very slow, but interesting to make us think what of humanity would really need to survive after a great change; capitalism and things would not, but art would, and just a little science.
And how loosing things from "before" could really be a blessing.
Sometimes the slowness of the story annoys (I hate most of the flashbacks, some are important to the story, others, not so much), yet, it's a great opportunity to exercise thinking.
Eternals (2021)
Flawed and boring
They are 7000 year old, but act like 30 year old people. They've learnt so few and still sound so fresh...
One of them even had the great idea to have a family for the first time in 6970 years.
People who lived 7000 years, yet are less experienced than me and you. A premise so stupid...
But if you can cope with this major flaw, join Superman (blue guy), Flash (red girl), Iron Man (tech guy and hand laser guy), Hulk (punching guy), Thor (Angelina Jolie), Wanda (witch girl, mind control guy and illusionist girl) in another adventure to save the Earth.
Peacemaker (2022)
DC is finally learning to be funny
It's embarassing to like something so juvenile as this series, but I can't help it.
The intro-credits are a sample of everything in this series: ridiculous, but, at the same time, you can't take your eyes off. And, as with everything directed by James Gunn, the soundtrack is impeccable.
Don't expect deep stuff, just relax and have some fun!
Swan Song (2021)
Great premise, but a little boring
The premise of making a perfect copy of you to avoid your family to suffer for your imminent death is truly unprecedented, and makes the movie worth seeing. But this premise exhausts itself quickly, and fails to sustain one's interest along the whole movie.
And Just Like That... (2021)
Not bad, not good.
I was kinda missing Sarah Jessica Parker dressing like Boy George. Or maybe not. It's grimmer than the original series, but not so much different. The original series was not as great as some remember it to be. This one is the same, with some liters of Botox.
In fact, a little bit better, because of the Miranda twist in the middle, the only trully interesting stuff in this series, alongside with Cynthia Nixon superb acting.
Christine (1983)
A must see for car enthusiasts
Only a car enthusiast could understand Arnie craziness developing along his relationship with this beautiful and deadly object, the "Christine" red Plymouth Fury. A must see for a car lover!
Star Wars: Visions (2021)
A refreshing vision
Star Wars franchise got old and boring, specially after Disney. But the VISIONS brought some injection of novelty. It's worth seeing, specially the philosophical "Elder" episode.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Negationists will hate
It's not a 10 star worthy movie for it's form, but surely a 10 star for its philosophical substance, it's capacity to grab and extrapolate.what mankind is showing to be, especially on the last 2 years.
Negationists will hate.
Foundation (2021)
Incredible production quality
I'm impressed with the production quality. Unlike so many other science fiction movies (and hero movies), the CGI isn't perceptible.
And if you understand math (or at least remember the basic), the story will become even more enjoyable.
The Last Duel (2021)
Kudos for the writers, directors and actors
This movie is a proof that even a dull story can be very interesting if told the right way. Great acting, great directing, and above all, great way of telling a story.
Finch (2021)
Worth for the robot
Despite the apocalyptic atmosphere, it's a soft and slow movie.
Yet they succeded in creating the most relatable robot since R2D2! A relief after dozens of killer AIs of nowadays movies.
Doom Patrol (2019)
No other alike
I see some comments comparing Doom Patrol to some Marvel series, but even in the DC world, there's nothing alike.
It's no ordinary superheros smashing villains series. It's sensible and derranged.
WarGames (1983)
This movie aged well
An AI which doesn't care about the diference of a game to reality, before AIs where born.
Prophetical.
The Green Knight (2021)
Beware of the movie poster, it's a slow movie
I was expecting another Hollywood medieval bullshit, specially because of the movie poster, which resembles the super hero movie posters.
But it's a slow and rough movie, kinda like Excalibur of 1981, which I appreciated a lot.
Don't watch it if you are expecting a McDonald's medieval action hero. It's a movie for thoughtful and contemplative people.
