Smiling Friends: Gwimbly: Definitive Remastered Enhanced Extended Edition DX 4k (Anniversary Director's Cut) (2024)
Great start to season 2
Smiling friends season 2 started off with a blast of an episode, this episode was definitely one of the episodes i laughed the most at while watching. I was a little bit nervous after watching multiple sneak peeks from season 2 because there was no clips where any of the characters would mumble and interrupt each other to make it feel like a real life conversation in a cartoon, which is one of the things that makes the show stand out the most to other cartoons and gives the show it's charm, but i was relieved after watching the episode as this episode not only kept that, but was extremely hilarious and had as much charm as any of the season 1 episodes has, and i even consider it to be one of the best episodes in the show so far. The episode doesn't do anything that makes it stand out from season 1 and i'm happy about that. Not that it wouldn't be cool for the show to try something new, but honestly i feel like the show does that all of the time.
10/10 episode, can't wait to see what the rest of season 2 is going to offer.
Helluva Boss: Oops (2023)
Best episode of season 2 so far
This episode blew me away. Before this episode i felt myself slowly backing away and losing my interest in this show, not because of the show being bad, but the recent episodes has been mediocre to me. I felt like western energy and every episode posted after that one just felt a bit out of place and not that great, so that was also what i expected for this episode, but how good this actually was was so unexpected. The animation was absolutely gorgeous, feeling much more clean and polished than some of the other recent episodes, and the plot and storytelling was also fantastic. In the first 5 minutes of the episode i felt like it was gonna be another meh episode, but then it started to actually get good, and about half way through it became excellent. They were also able to have a serious scene for just 15 seconds without some bad pun ruining the suspense. A well deserved 10/10.
Helluva Boss: C.H.E.R.U.B (2021)
Underrated episode
Though it is a filler episode, i personally have enjoyed several rewatches of this episode. A lot of people call it a "filler mess" or a "boring episode that doesn't matter for the rest of the show", and though it may not, it is really a good episode. The jokes are funny, and it feels very much like an episode of a kids cartoon that has been "adultified". I think it deserves a lot more than it's 7,4 stars, because there has obviously been put a lot of work into the episode. Overall i don't really have any bad things to say about this episode, other than that it's an awesome episode in my opinion, honestly a lot better than the episode before this one.
The Owl House (2020)
Amazing show, gets better the longer you get into the series!
If you like series that are very suitable for children, then the first season and the first half of season 2 will be something for you. However if you are like me who likes series that are just on the edge to having a higher age rating, then the second half of season 2 and season 3 will be something for you. On the first season i stopped watching because i felt like the series was made for girls rather than boys. But i feel like they get very good at balancing that later on in the series. They are especially really good at introducing new characters. I don't want to spoil anything about this series, but overall, it's just amazing. On my top three list over the best series that i have ever watched.
