What a dumb predictable show
15 March 2024
By episode one it's basically figured out. This could have been done into a 2 hr movie I would have passed on. The story is dull and too predictable. It's peacock so yeah... I had some hope given the cast and I'm sure if you like shows like American idol or America's got talent this will probably blow your mind. But for people who enjoy watching quality work this is not that. We started watching this because for all mankind was just getting so slow, drawn out and boring. Too many of these shows need to be condensed into movies. There is way too much filler content. They suck you into the show with intrigue and just leave you with a dull ending while spending hours on pointless character development.

Look, I'm all for good character development when you have a really good story to tell but these micro stories are just built around filler content and I'm sorry but nothing in this show is original.

Poorly put together
19 July 2023
There are not many documentaries about national mottos but this is the root of our cultural identity. Deism allianates Atheism. Out of Many, One = Unity while "In God We Trust is a philosophical and religious position. A German word Godan, now equates to Christians and Jesus?

Look at the world stage, how many countries have changed their motto's in the last 100+ yrs.

Somehow Patriotism in U. S is closely tethered to Christianity and Jesus on a cross (Theism). That's no accident. Eisenhower & Graham shaped generations of Christian influence and amplified that indoctrination. Not to mention Israel, the league of nations and countering Communism. Theology, The original Political Science. American tradition is that product.

Concluding our world has to be by intelligent design is a position constructed with "belief" and a national motto is more then just ceremonial.

Today, the entire GOP is composed of Christian's imposing national values. That's the definition of Christian Nationalism and the essence of a One Religion State. That is the concentration of one religion. The Founders wrote the constitution to dilute religion by diversifying it to expand knowledge and innovation.

Now, more than ever, it's been consolidated to govern human behavior through morals and ethics and promote a single religion in America, Christianity.

Star Trek: Picard (2020–2023)
Sigh...smh, Disappointment
12 May 2023
Ok, so this series, it's got cool graphics, they updated the CGI to 2023... Cool. But, that's all it's got.

Unfortunately, today's exec's tend to throw money at these types of shows. So, all the money goes to bringing back some icons and CGI development...

Meanwhile, interns out of college are "supposed" to be the Segway between the older gens and the younger... Unfortunately, they have no talent in creative writing, it's all systems, patterns and recipes in standard narrative. This show is Sooooooooooo dull!

I like the icons based on their past shows... Not this one. So, why am I watching this. And, the new younger characters don't even have a personality or anything that makes me like them, Probably because they're disposable or will get written off.

It's so disappointing that the last star trek with any good plot, characters or writing was Voyager.

Stop hiring these interns with no perspective to write for characters with years of experience. The lines don't make any sense and they're trying too hard to make it "cool" for kids. But, that's catering to immaturity and unrealistic stupid story content.

Good shows are built on good writing, with good character development. And, teens will like a show that is well done because everyone likes shows that are well done, and older people deserve shows to be well done! This show is sloppy, cheesy and the lines are are just absurd and immature. The only thing this show has going for it is the graphics and some icons mere presence... That is all. Huge disappointment after waiting three decades for a good star trek reboot, this, discovery and new worlds .. all junk, and I'll bet the execs can see the poor viewer stats aren't adding up. It's because they're not balancing the development with good writers anymore. 20 yr old interns making $30k a year to write these episodes while crews produce these episodes like a factory is a joke! It's offensive to watch these execs take great stories and destroy them for a cheap date.

The Mosquito Coast (2021–2023)
Had potential
7 May 2023
My first thought is Apple is basically the ABC family channel for streaming... My second thought is they need to stop having these 20 yr. Old interns writing these scripts with these 40+ yr. Old characters, it doesn't match, people don't talk like this, the phrases they say, the way they act, it's too immature for the age of the characters.

The show strings you along for the entire first season... And, the way they behave is just obnoxious, unrealistic, and the way they talk to each other isn't like real life at all. It's sad that this could have been good, it had potential to be great but it's just a dull family show that tries really hard to be exciting and different.

Big Time RV (2014– )
Unimpressed
27 February 2023
For the amount of money these guys are paying for these machines, having a 75"+ 4K tv on the exterior should be standard for a $500k+ RV, along with a large pull out grill should be standard, not a dinking small one on the $1M bus? For real! And the interior with their 1990's style small tv's. Sorry, but for the price of a luxury home, these RV are sure all flash and no bells and whistles, I expect tron style 21st century RV's to be built with tech, smh. You know, these salesmen make 20% commission, that's nearly $200,000 on selling a $975k RV, smh, that's insane! I could never justify buying one, even with $200M+ at my disposal.

Kim's Convenience (2016–2021)
A top Sitcom for us!
3 February 2023
We enjoy the likes of Seinfeld, Office, It's Always Sunny, and Kim's Convenience. While, it's not my typical comedy, and has elements we typically shy away from (religious contexts) though the show is hardly.... We actually really enjoyed this show. It's not often you find good wholesome comedy that is just overall a pleasant experience. The show has talent, every actor brings their characters to life, its well written and the show is put together well. We naturally have been watching Run the Burbs after the end of the show and Kimchi deserved and I enjoy seeing Paul Lee in Star Wars, Personally, didn't think Simu Liu was much in the show, then he goes on to Marvel. Of Course, Pastor Nina goes on to Handmaids Tale, that fits. Looking forward to seeing where some of the other characters end up. It was a good funny wholesome show. A top 5 Sitcom for us.

The Last of Us (2023– )
Very disappointed & unimpressed
27 January 2023
The trailer made it look intriguing. The main actors are also part of the lure as I enjoyed Pedro in the Mandalorian and Bella in GOT. Chernobyl was done very well and honestly thats the bar of my expectations. And, since I thought the walking dead was really good until about season 6 I figured maybe this would be on par. So, it was anticipation that had me hoping this would be good. Such a let down. Tbh, I have a feeling this is going to drag as we all keep hoping it's going to get better but it won't...

Two episodes in, the quality of TV has gone down tremendously if you think this is well done. It's not breaking bad, stranger things or any of those tops shows. 9.4? I think in a year it's going to be a low 6 at best. The acting isn't that great, the writing is horrible, the cgi is eh, has a cheap feel to it like some family show on cm or something.

I didn't want to be hasty in my review but it's been challenging to get through the first two episodes. It sucks to watch new show after new show lower the bar.

Edit* Just watched Episode 3, while I personally cringe at homo characters making out on screen as that's not very pleasant to endure, I really enjoyed the rest of the episode. Never would have expected that from Nick Offerman (Parks and Rec) and I really enjoyed Murray Bartlett in The White Lotus. But, they brought entertainment to the episode, it was good. So, it went up 1 star for me.

That '90s Show (2023– )
Not sure where the 90's part of the show is
20 January 2023
As someone who grew up in the 90's, I turned on the pilot out of curiosity. The setting is basically at the house from the 80's. The colors and clothes are not at all from the 90's. The kids in the show were probably born after the 90's. Nothing about this show says 90's. Clothes in the 80's had that brown color feel, bootlegged, colours but the early 90's where neon, pinks, purples, and fuzzy hair. The late nineties was jean with a hammer sling or khakis with a line down the side just before cargo pants... This reminds me of 2010's Disney with that 80's show setting, nothing appealing here. And, the kids barely behave like the 90's, pretty sure a Mac or Windows 95 PC should be around somewhere and the jackel or the rock should be on the TV in the background. Then again, it's Wisconsin, nothing normal comes from there.

Go and Google 90's outfits or jumpsuit, then compare it to the clothes they wear...

Aerial America (2010– )
Poorly put together
13 January 2023
The scenery is what you come for and get. But, their fucos was really poor. They'll spend 10 minutes of an episode on a farm or a music labels location and then they'll skip entire cities.

Florida, they focus on Miami for half an hour and the development of the east coast (Flagler) then you get on random shot of Clearwater while they're talking about the role Tallahassee (the state capitol) played in the Bush/Gore election. They basically brush over the surface of Orlando, Tampa & Jacksonville for maybe 10 seconds. They miss a lot in Florida.

Michigan, they spend the entire episode on Detroit, they barely brush the surface of Lansing, Sleeping Bare dunes and the Mackinaw Bridge/Sue St. Marie but they don't show any of West Michigan, battle creek doesn't count.

Wonder if the California episode will even show San Diego or if it will focus on L. A. for half an HR and then show the golden gate bridge and maybe a shot of silicon valley & some wine and call it good... Smh.

These episodes should have been part of the aerial city series, not the state, they really don't have a clue about the states they're filming, it was clearly done by people from out of state. I'll bet folks from any state would pick they're state to watch and finish with a huge scoff & a shake of the head.

Mythic Quest (2020– )
I have no idea what to make of it
20 December 2022
As a fan of it's always sunny, naturally I gravitated to this but after 3 seasons I have no idea what this show is about. It reminds me of George Costanza's pitch to TV execs at nbc "that people will watch it because it's on TV" but I'm pretty sure it's about nothing. Idk if this show is supposed to be funny, I rarely even crack a smile watching it. Maybe, it's a show for high school kids or something. I like a lot of the actors, & the characters they're trying to cultivate but I don't find much of the story interesting & the comedy isn't funny at all. There is a lot of immaturity, so maybe that's supposed to be the humor, again, I don't know.

House of the Dragon (2022– )
Boring
22 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
There is no substance. They leave you with a glimmer of what the story can develop into which doesn't seem all that interesting.

GOT has so many stories lines and characters inter-weaving, so much content but this is just one uninteresting story.

Idk how many times we got up and started do misc. Chores intermittently while watching this show, and it's cgi is very poor.

Severance (2022– )
It's a mindbend
9 May 2022
I started to watch the first episode and gave up about 15 min. In because it seemed boring and dull. But, about 2 weeks later just started it with my wife and then we began to enjoy it. A lot of these folks giving it 1/10 are probably way more intelligent than me and all around better in every way. But, from what I saw, most of those 1/10 ratings were from folks who couldn't get through the whole season. It is a mind twisting adventure. And, we enjoyed it a lot. There is a lot of depth in the show if you know how to look. Again, not as smart as those who gave it poor ratings. I had to give it a 10, not many shows deserve a 10 but I think it was well thought out, even the boring parts have a reason.
