Inside Man (2022)
Very bad writing, unrealistic characters & a silly plot!
SPOILER: Poorly written drama, the characters behaviour was so unrealistic and comical. It all started with a mix up of a dark content usb, could have been easily resolved by just telling the story upfront lol. So many solutions to prove it wasn't his son, simple report it to the police and they can investigate the guys computer and interrogate him. Even when he recorded him in the pub, his slow reaction was enough of a red flag to know he was hiding something.
The silly reactions then set of an unrealistic chain of events that were to unbelievable. Show tried to be smart but left you frustrated. Not worth the watch.
Sneakerheads (2020)
Great feel good show, with some cool cameos & funny moments.
This show was purely fun to watch, its almost like a coming of age story where the main character goes back to revisit his past by revising
visiting his collector lifestyle and the show makes it feel ok to enjoy things that others might think is childish. The show reminds us, growing up doesn't mean you have to give up your hobbies. There was just something relatable and nice about the overall story ark and it leaves you feeling good by the end and happy for the main characters adventure.
Definitely enjoyable and worth a watch, especially if you enjoy shows like "How to make it in America" Wish there was another season but it closes up well so you don't need one.
Padmaavat (2018)
All style and absolutely no substance, felt more like cinematic propaganda then entertainment.
All style and absolutely no substance, the movie is very poorly written, and I still don't see the rationale in the depiction of a historical figure when the story is not even remotely close to real life history. Felt more like cinematic propaganda then entertainment. The disclaimer at the start did nothing to help.
So many things were wrong with this film but especially the villain, a predictable stereotypical Hollywood style Muslim bad guy, but even worse at least in Hollywood films the muslim villain is usually showed to follow some principles, this guy is the complete opposite, a comical bad guy, who cheats on his wife, has a male lover on the side, lies and betrays family while fighting with no code. It was hilariously bad, with crappy CGI, bad pacing and a childish, basic narrative.
Narcos (2015)
If you loved The Wire, The Shield or SOA, WATCH THIS! BRAVO Wagner Moura, what a brilliant performance.
BRAVO! Wagner Moura, what a brilliant performance, the subtle facial expressions and dark undertone played perfectly with the raw visuals and sound. I loved how Escobar could look so calm while leaving you unnerved, at times you were wondering will he congratulate you or kill you.
The small details were what made it special, how he reacted to disrespectful body language and really created a character you could understand and be confused over at the same time, can a man be this evil? Great directing, they kept it authentic with the subtitles and it was a pleasure to watch, cannot wait for season 2.
The Purge (2013)
GREAT CONCEPT, Sadly lost its potential halfway
Just saw the film Purge, the concept had so much potential to be a truly deep film about society, human nature and evil, but halfway through it just ended up into a pointless violent movie, wasted storyline that could have turned into a great film. I wanted to know who was the new founding fathers, that was always on my mind since they kept bringing it up, was there a conspiracy?, who was in charge?, what is the world like outside of that neighbourhood?, so many unanswered questions just made it frustrating towards the end and it didn't help that the ending wasn't exactly satisfying in my eyes. I wanted to see some kind of justice or more aftermath but it just leaves so much open and your left with what seems like a half finished plot that ended on a low note.
After watching it all though sometimes you wonder will the world ever become that stupid like The Running Man (1987)
The Middle (2009)
An Insulting RIP OF to the legacy of Malcolm in the middle!
terrible show, mediocre humour, acting, and overall I've seen enough episodes and gave it a try hoping every episode, they'd be a little more original and change my mind, but the more i watch the more it annoys me how much they just ripped of a classic TV show, Malcolm in the middle was a million times more classy, original and funny, this show is trying too hard to be that. They eve have the little son who looks like Dewey!! I actually find that cringe worthy, that they have middle in the title and similar looking characters, they have no shame, and the shows just extremely lame.
Overall a very crap show that i believe is only surviving because of the dumb new kids who don't know about Malcolm.
ABC BE MORE ORIGINAL!!!!
The Devil's Double (2011)
Dominic cooper Made this film beautiful
So watching this, i assumed it would just be a cool scareface type film in the desert, but i was right, but also wrong, because yes you can say it had elements from such classics, but it was a whole different film, the acting of both Latif and Uday was Brilliant oh and BTW did you know it was one guy acting both, i actually was fooled until i read other reviews, yes its that amazing, 10/10 and i would buy it on DVD just to see his performance again, storyline was .... well thats the thing there wasn't really a deep plot, its merely a look into a sadistic man, and his life living under his fathers reign told from the book of the actual Latif Yahiya. I cant say how much of this is exaggerated, but i can say it was very believable. besides a few things i thought were Meh, like the girl who wasn't needed, its Definitely worth a watch :D.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)
Sitting in the cinema and even after an hour thinking to myself, so whens it going to start... sighhh
So anyway i love all 3 original movies from the trilogy, but this one well lets just say its OK to watch it once, Johny depp as always was brilliant, it wasn't him that made the movie bad. just the overall storyline wasn't as gripping, there were no real monsters or cool epic fights in my opinion, and without giving anything away, i just got to say its one of those movies that you definitely have to watch just for the sake of watching it, and then think "mehh that was pretty mediocre". big disappointment to me. i think they ruined a classic trilogy and im trying to delete it out my head.
Its as though they made it just for the money, and the passion i felt in the 1st 3 died but thats my opinion, i guess watch for yourself and judge.
