Moral Orel: Alone (2008)
The saddest episode of Moral Orel
The episode Alone is a series of vignettes that focuses on Nurse Bendy, Ms. Sculptham, and Ms. Censordoll. We get to see their internal lives. The facts of themselves they only reveal when no one is around. Out of all of these story lines the one I found the most tragic was Nurse Bendy's. In Moralton she is treated as a sex object. This is mostly impart to Principle Fakey who cheats on his wife with her. His guilt over this affair is the main result of their relationship and we rarely get to veiw Bendy's feelings on this. We assume from her apethetic demeanor that she enjoys their relationship for the sex but doesn't care for the emotional aspect. We assume her to be a well functioning, yet sexuality permissive person. Yet once we step into her room we immediately see that somethings wrong. The life she lives on her own is a poor imitation of what she desires. She just wants to be treated as a person with feelings and emotions but doesn't belive a human man has the capacity to see her as anything but a sexual object. So, she creates this fantasy world for her self where she can be happy. She can live out the life she wants but doesn't think she can attain. Until the scene where she is cleaning the carpet. This, to me, is the most heartbreaking scene in the show. Her artificial world crumbles before her as her teddy bear stand in for a husband falls on her. The one thing she could count on to not desire her for sex. Her perfect slice of paradise is ruined and she breaks down crying.
Adventure Time: Distant Lands (2020)
The continuation we didn't know we needed
Wow. Made me cry. The best way to pick up on a story that ended perfectly. Goes deeper into the characters lives and ate rich with world building and artistic style as well as wonderfull story lines.
BoJack Horseman (2014)
The most accurate portrayal of mental health.
Damn this show hits hard. If you are expecting an adult comedy and nothing more this is not the show for you. One of the greatest shows I've ever watched.
