The Swarm (2023)

Absolutely not recommended for reader of the book
27 February 2023
They extracted a few parts out of the book - and that's it. Despite Leon Anawak no character comes close to it's original from the book, not in appearance nor in behavior or attitude. Important characters are completely missed and the story misses almost all thrilling content from the book. The book could ban you after a some introduction page and the reader felt there was something completely going wrong in this world - thrilling from the first few pages. Here it seems like they took some parts of the book randomly and made a scene out of it ... Maybe it's better to watch without reading the very good book before, but I'm unable go on watching beyond the second episode, too disappointed.

Best comedy of the last years ... and it's a German one !!

A man in love will marry his girlfriend but first he has to get a signed basket ball for her wayward son - but only handicapped fans have the chance to get one. Seems like the only way to get this ball is visiting a basketball match as a handicapped ... Really equal to Hollywood productions! One gag after another, finest slapstick, no sensitive humor but crashing gags the entire movie. Jürgen Vogel and Til Schweiger at it's best! Alexandra Maria Lara plays the "emotional" part - absolutely lovely! And Christof Maria Herbst has been the best handicapped nasty person at all!! And about piety of handicapped people - no gag at the expenses of disabled people! We've got a severely disabled child and have been amused and laughing during the whole movie!

Absolutely recommendable!!

The greatest road movie ever seen ...

Absolutely brilliant, excellent or every other superlative! I bought the DVD and every time I finished an episode I got the feeling deep inside to go into garage take my bike and start a trip like that - it creates that yearning inside to do the same thing - really unbelievable. Both Charley and ( superstar ) Ewan McGregor are that naturally guys - they are so likable. It is so funny to listen to there conversation, they are joking during the whole time even when they completely destroyed because of the unexpected circumstances. I felt like watching close friends and there keeps a kind of emptiness inside when the DVD is finished ... Absolutely have to be seen!!! I finished the DVD some hours ago and I could start watching again just right now.
