Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
I legit can't put into words how much I love this movie
To me this is when you just look at the movie itself the best animated movie ever created.
It is such a simple story, but that does not have to be bad EVERYTHING else is just completely perfect!
It's funny, it's beautiful animated, the music slaps, both villains are some of the funniest and one of the scariest ever seen in animation, it's emotional at times has a good moral about mortality.
It may not be as well researched or thought out as Pixar pre 2016 with cultural history and such, but it does so much more with so much less and that's what makes this movie a 10/10 for me and my favorite animated movie.
Bullet Train (2022)
Surprisingly fun
Did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did.
Just a high action thrill ride which is genuinely funny.
Expected this to just be a Netflix-like cash grab with big name lead Brad Pitt.
But no genuinely a fun movie nothing Oscar worthy but really worth a watch.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
I feel like I owe this movie a review
This... this is action done right!
Something that is really really rare these days in a movie culture with increasingly more marvel and fast and the furious like movies.
This was an IMENSE thrill ride and amazingly cast and it might even be the first time I can say that an old action classic movie has been sequelised and be so much better then the first one.
Special props for not just repeating what the first one did, but be more subtle about
You see the Echo of the original movie (great balls of fire, danger zone), but it never feels like a direct copy paste.
And that danger zone opening is and always be fk incredible.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
The show is alright when it should have been amazing
They had a very rare window where they could have gotten back so many people and told a completely new story.
But it is just not that good.
Script Should have been redone entirely some elements are good like fortress inquisitorius, or even the introduction of the third sister as a youngling survivor.
But as a whole the show was just not that good and missed a lot of key points
it is sad because they will never get that window of opportunity back.
Rick and Morty: Rick & Morty's Thanksploitation Spectacular (2021)
People are unnecessarily hard on this one.
It's not amazing, but certainly not awful.
Kind of like the Whitly dirly episode nothing groundbreaking or something, but fun.
Ghost of Tsushima (2020)
It is exactly as assassins creed should be. And it hurts
The game is absolutely beautiful the combat is so amazingly clean and smooth.
Every sidequest is exceptional none of them feel like a chore, something a lot of games have major troubles with.
Amazing story also and the art style is just fenomenal .
As a longtime Assassins Creed fan I see more clearly then ever how neglected I am.
Assassins creed should also be like this a person helping the locals and taking on the established order.
I heard that AC wants to do a Japan game now, but I am not even buying it.
0% chance it doesn't seem like a step down from this
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla (2020)
I am rating this high mainly for the improvement they have made in comparison with odyssey, but it is still flawed
First massive improvement over odyssey, but honestly that was not that hard. I still have no kind words for that game.
But, it is still too far away from the original franchise, which, unfortunately, is not popular among new comers to the franchise. I do believe that this is the best middle ground possible.
I like Eivor, still believe they should just disregard the choices, because if you forgot you are playing through someones memories.
Modern day finally gets some story again since 2012.
The bugs are SEVERE I would almost call it unplayable. For example in Glowchestershire their is a mission where you where a sort of halloween mask. Well that mask will never go away in that part of England even when you complete the game.
Also the order of ancients where not obscured in the menu at all, you can see with one peek who the grand-maagester once you have seen the character in the story and it ruined the whole reveal.
Story was to me a bit underwhelming, The arcs did not always work for me. I was only interested in the arcs with Sigurd and Basim and what was happening in Jorvik, like when you rescue Sigurd from Folke he is al changed and elevated. So I was like I can't wait to see what this means, but I have to sit through another 5 arcs just to see what it al means. The arcs have nothing to do with Sigurd or the assassins.
It was just annoying
Certainly not the greatest, but they did what they could to keep both the original fans since 2007 happy (me) and the new people who only like boss fights, flame swords and epic raids.
For those newcomers among us, play the Ezio trilogy. You will understand why this franchise is so different from what it once was and why people are still dreaming over what once was.
Next AC I just want a sequel, or at least an established assassin . Every game we start from the ground-up occupying story time with introduction to the creed etcetera.
6/10, recommend playing after all the bugs get fixed, but you should play something else instead.
The Social Dilemma (2020)
It's scary people, it's really scary
I always considered myself really anti social media, I don't have Facebook, instagram, Snapchat, tiktok
You name it
Only thing I do have was reddit which I considered safe because:
1:You can't sell stuff on the platform
2: since everything is anonymous, you judge on what you see not on who said it
But this documentary got me a bit startled I realized I spent way to much time on the platform, that my news is coming more and more from the platform, and that I am unconsciously going to the platform.
My first thought was:
Disable my news feed!
Turns out..... you can't do it
Even though reddit is not a news platform you cannot disable your news feed.
I thought I was mostly safe, but they got to me to....
Hoops (2020)
This show represents everything that studios get wrong on the question: why are adult cartoons so popular these day's?
The jokes feel so dragged out that guy is litteraly beating and the raping his own jokes by going in so much detail
The story is cliche to the max for a cartoon, the drawing style is almost Exactly the same as already existing shows like rick and morty and final space
Fun thing about cartoons is that you can always do something different then the others because of your unique drawing style
Like they do on archer and South Park
It just has no soul if you ask me.
The Last of Us (2013)
Look story is great, but the gameplay just isn't
The gameplay is simply just annoying at time s I know that is not a popular opinion
Just my view on the game
Toy Story 4 (2019)
I should like it but I simply do not
The movie is well put together but the feeling is just gone in my opinion 4 was simply one too many
And forky was a bad character in my opinion
Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Shattered (2020)
How was this ever cancelled!?
No words just pure perfection rate it 10 and get out people
Top Gun (1986)
How dare you!
This is an all time classic and this is a 6,9?!
What is wrong with you people
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
And I thought that jar jar binks was the worst character in Star Wars history
Jesus Christ, rose is the most annoying character of all time. Her whole save Finn moment with risk of death was maybe the stupidest thing I ever watched on the big screen.
She litteraly saves him because of the whole "saving what we love" philosophy, while Finn was doing that exact thing in the first place to save the ENTIRE rebellion!
And then of course, a forced kiss to top it all off Between two characters that only exist as a diversity hire.
Screw you Disney you ruined Star Wars
Ford v Ferrari (2019)
Amazing
If you saw this Movie With IMax sound you know exactly why i am giving this 10 stars
