The Passion of the Christ (2004)
Appetite for sick sadistic lost souls
Torture, torture, aphorism, torture. Somebody pinch me please! I must be having a nightmare. If you like Japanese sadistic movies and can't read the Bible yourself, watch this. If you enjoy watching people being tortured in extremely sadistic way, watch this. If I would have a sick imagination like the people who made this, I would recommend watching this. The great legend has been raped in a way it has never been raped before. It's like having diarrhea. Unpleasant and feels like it's never going to end. Lesson of the film; Never ever choose a movie just because there's a catchy title. What in the world has happened to good old Mel Gibson? I have liked most of his movies, but this is such art I choose not to understand, and I'm damn proud of this opinion too. Amen.
I Am Dina (2002)
Never blame the innocent or underestimate the girl power
Lovely little Norwegian girl Dina makes a tragic mistake and kills her own mother accidentally. Her father is devastated about mother's dead and starts to treat his own child like an animal. Dina gets serious trauma about all this and grows up with the personality that would scare most of us.
Her private teacher becomes the only one who she trusts, and the music he teaches becomes the best therapy. As Dina is beautiful and talented, rich and respected older man starts to lust her and asks Dina's father her hand. The repulsive father of course gives his blessing to this marriage, but the happy new husband has no idea who Dina really is and will soon regret his choice. Dina is not scared of anything, even death, and she becomes very dominant and seems to get whatever she pleases. The story is so dramatic and rough it sticks out from the mass.
I would not recommend this to those who can only digest popular easy movies.
The Prophecies of Nostradamus (1979)
Accurate documenttary gives big picture of mysterious psychic Nostradamus.
French doctor's visio about wars and other big issues in the word has always seduced mystery seeking people. This documentary shows us how accurate and intelligent man saw the future 500 years ago. Some parts are quite scary and seems impossible that the story is truth. Even presidential election last year (2000) was correct...
Patch Adams (1998)
Best movie about humanity...
Lust for money and love for life meet eachother in this most human movie I've seen. Robin Williams acts maby his best ever role being first patient in a mental institution and later one of the greatest doctors world have ever known. Pablo Neruda's poems ain't that bad either...
