A Different World (1987)
Not Too Bad
This show certainly wouldn't make the 'Top 10 Comedies of All-Time," but it's a great show that you can look back at and remember your childhood (or at least I can). Although all series go through bad storylines/characters and stupid jokes, "A Different World" was pretty much a good show. I even like the first season.
Although I don't know much about black college life and never went away to school and lived in a dorm, this show was pretty believable and it's one of those rare shows that I'll actually remember is on TV instead of flipping channels to see what's on.
Addams Family Reunion (1998)
Pathetic
I adore all other versions of Charles Addams' creations. But this one is the worst. Hearing what others had to say, I told myself that a movie can't be that bad. Well, I was right. It was worse.
Tim Curry is a great actor. As long as he isn't Gomez.
Daryl Hannah, I won't get into it. She was trying too hard to be as good as Anjelica Huston in the role.
Nicole Fugere was decent in "The New Addams Family." Nicole and Alice Ghostly (Grandmama) were the only two characters who didn't make me want to kill them.
All in all, not a bad movie if you like to make fun of a movie while you watch it.
Addams Family Values (1993)
Good Sequel
This is a good sequel, but it isn't as good as the first movie.
Why? In the first movie, they focused more on the family as a whole. But in the sequel, they mainly focused on Wednesday (Pugsley had how many words in it? 4?). I think this detracted from the movie.
Besides that, be prepared for another hilarious adventure! Some of the best movie quotes ever made come from "Addams Family Values!" The Malibu Barbie line is reason enough to rent it!
The Addams Family (1991)
FUNNY!
For people who love Charles Addams' cartoons, you will LOVE this movie! A lot of the scenes were taken right out of those cartoons. The actors do a wonderful job with the parts (I can't imagine anyone but Christopher Lloyd playing Fester).
If you need a good laugh, this movie will get you out of your darkest depression!
Sister Kate (1989)
Great show!
I used to watch this show when it was first on and loved it! Unfort., I haven't seen it since in syndication. It was quite funny and Stephanie Beecham is a wonderful actress. Her character as the nun was wonderful and each show ended on a good note/moral.
Mama's Family (1983)
Great show!
If you like comedy, you'll love this show! The episodes are hilarious and they even do serious subjects like illiteracy with a nice blend of comedy and seriousness. Vicki Lawrance is reason enough to watch! It's too bad that the show isn't on anymore, we need more clean shows like this.
