Dude, Where's My Car? (2000)
Give me a break
I like stupid movies, Bill and Ted, Just one of the Guys, Deuce Bigalow, this is not a movie in that caliber. It was not a stupid movie, it was a horrible movie! It had funny parts, but those were few and far between. The plot, which would have been okay if not for the ridiculous ending, was just dumb. This is a movie you expect to leave the movie saying it was funny, but I just couldn't get over it's stupidity to mention anything else. This is a movie to save your money and just wait until it's rentable, and then be glad you didn't see it in a theater.
All the Pretty Horses (2000)
Beautiful to the eyes, but that's about it
A beautifully shot movie, great cast but what a long drawn out story! The movie seemed to be endless. I enjoyed the first half, it was a simple story and slowly drew me in. But by the 2nd half I was just waiting for the story to be tied up and somehow see closure. I can see how someone can completely disagree with me, but in my opinion and my family's, we thought it was too long, lacked strong elements of a plot and dragged, dragged, DRAGGED.
Uncle Buck (1989)
A fun movie
Culkin is just irresistible in this movie... perfect timing and chemistry with the cast. Uncle Buck is a reminder that John Candy is sorely missed. This is one of my favorites, just because it's light, funny and warm. If you haven't seen it, pick it up at the video store and if you have seen it, see it again...
History of the World: Part I (1981)
My favorite movie
This is my favorite movie of all time for many reasons, but the main being that its use of comedy is not only entertaining but timeless and pure genius. I am a big Mel Brooks fan and this movie is the reason. This movie is not dumb funny, it's smart funny, poking fun at history in a light, enjoyable way that could be construed as inappropriate but it is done so well, it's just perfect. This movie is by far one of the greatest comedies, ever.
Just One of the Guys (1985)
Icon for 80s movies
the movie is a template for all teen movies. They have distinct, realistic characters with heart, soul and all in a realistic situation. Well sorta.
Billy Jayne reminded me a lot of my guy friends when they were that age. and Terry proved to be persistent and determined.
It's one of the movies I feel you can watch over and over again.
Out of Sight (1998)
one of my favorites of 98
The movie was all about chemistry. There was such a chemistry between Clooney and Lopez that it reminded me of Gere and Roberts in Pretty Woman. The format of the movie was great and it definitely is a movie you must see twice. I loved it.
