Suits meets Star Trek. Didn't see that coming. Delighted to see Denise Crosby effectively reprising her role as Sela in The Next Generation. The references are subtle but there are too many for it to be an accident - clothing, jewelry, nautical terms, a boardroom confrontation with "Sela" at the head of the table, even reenactment reminiscent of Q! Love it!
Then there's Harvey. Since season two, I knew this was a superhero show and that Harvey is Superman, as well as Batman, with Mike serving as Robin. I didn't realize until this episode that he's also James T. Kirk.
The big question is, why did they wait for season 9 to lean into it? Why spend two seasons descending into daytime soap territory before bringing it home?
