Decent movie, but the ending was so disappointing
lmnclips4 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was alright, but the ending was so anticlimactic and I was very disappointed! The film's "climax" had the crazy ex break into Katie's home and and try on her dresses. Katie catches her and says she is crazy, and then they both engage in a small cat fight witch ends with the crazy ex falling to the stairs. Really??? That was it???? Other than the climatic part of the movie, it was alright/decent. But not a must watch

Neighbor from hell
metfan4126 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
An ex moves in next door to get close to the one who got away. She sets her traps and of course the clueless husband and wife team just idiotically walk right into them.

Just a couple of ridiculous parts for me was

1. The husband is in a golf cart, outfit, clubs, and even his glove on to start. He rides up to his business partner and informs him he can't play golf today, and the very next shot he rides away and uses his cellphone! You couldn't have just called him and told him? No, you just got your entire golf setup ready, then ride up in your cart to say that to him, WTF!

2. Close to the climax, our Lifetime heroine is coming walking into her house while on the phone with the policeman. He tells her they have an arrest warrant out for the psycho ex and she is dangerous and to stay away. While on the call she notices someone is in her house, well I just wonder who that could be??? Then she just hangs up!!! You have the police on the phone, tell them to come, and that the psycho is inside, right? Nope, just hang up!

Maiara Walsh makes a good wacko
phd_travel3 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The wacko of the week is an ex girl friend who moves in next door to her ex boy friend who is now married. It's a fairly novel wacko idea. She befriends his new wife. Even after he tells his wife, the wife naively falls into various traps laid for her. As things escalate the wacko cleverly frames her ex for killing her fake boy friend. Maiara Walsh plays the wacko quite well. A few minus points. Some of the writing is inconsistent and illogical and the ending is an anti climax.

Not a must watch.

Get what you expect

This is a Lifetime movie which pretty much explains the low rating, but at least it doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't - a genuine and unashamed presentation of pure crap, that even has a couple of half decent moments thrown in, which is why I gave it more than zero.

Don't waste your time!

I tried watching it and was excited to see it based on the plot but I barely got through 10 minutes before deciding that was enough. Between bad editing and scene cuts to the actors and dialogue and even music, it was boring, cringeworthy and uninterested. I couldn't even watch more to see if it would get better and I love Lifetime movies so this was a big disappointment.

Awful movie.
ivobg3 March 2021
Awful script, awful acting, awful camera work, awful music.

Nothing more can be said about this thing.

One of the worst movies I've ever watched.

A Woman Scorned is to be Feared
lavatch15 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It is a convention of almost any Lifetime film that the protagonist is slow in discovering that he or she is in grave danger from a deranged human being. But in "Your Husband in Mine" (a.k.a., "The Ex Next Door"), this premise is taken to absurd degrees.

A turning point in the film occurs when the artist of children's books named Katie Greenwood learns that her new neighbor, Louisa Share, is not only interested in renewing the romantic relationship with her husband, Dan Greenwood, but that Louisa has adopted Katie's last name, which appears on items Katie discovers in Louisa's mailbox.

The moment she recognized that Louisa was guilty of identity theft, she should have contacted the police. Instead, she continues to fraternize with Louisa and her new boyfriend, Finn Cooper, who, in fact, was rented by Louisa from a male escort service! Indeed, both Katie and Dan should have been on high alert to the presence of Louisa as their new neighbor. As one of Dan's golfing buddies tells him, "you can change your friends, but you can't change your exes!!!"

In her new book, Katie is searching for an ending with the theme of "never giving up." The film loosely developed that theme with the tenacity of Katie herself in never giving up on her husband, despite the fact that he could have been more forthcoming about his ties to Miss Share. Neither Katie nor Dan seemed to recognize how a woman scorned in to be feared.

But because of the delay, two of the casualties of Louisa Share are the kind maid Alice, who is surprised by Louisa and murdered in the home of the Greenwoods, and poor Finn, who gets wise to Louisa's plan to undo the marriage next door, but only asks her for more money, rather than contact the police. The result is that Finn is smothered and stabbed by Louisa.

A loose end of the film was the character of Patrick, who appeared to have a fixation on Katie that that seemed to rival Louisa's obsession for Dan. Is the marriage of Katie and Dan still under siege, due to the strange behavior of Patrick? As Katie likes to say about her drawing, "practice makes perfect." And young Patrick may have learned lessons from his close observations of the girl next door.

Attractive leads make this worth the watch
mjanssens261 November 2021
I'm rating this as a Lifetime or Hallmark thriller. Caught this on Prime and overall it's decent and worth a watch. All the leads are fit and attractive which made me give it an extra eye candy star. If you like Lifetime or Hallmark films, this one is definitely worth a look.

Pretty good actually
haroot_azarian20 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So basically Louisa is the psycho ex from ten years ago who did not take being ghosted by Dan very lightly! Kate is the innocent victim in all of this and yet as it turned out a powerful protagonist! Dan like an idiot through his inaction encourages psycho Louisa! As for the nosey perv neighbor Patrick who is clearly is vying on Kate (stalking her even attending her painting classes) happily tries to get Dan into trouble through his false statements to the detective! SPOILER ALERT: now the final scene shows Kate and Dan in their garden with family and friends in their baby reveal party. The film ends with an ominous camera shot from behind the bushes, perhaps suggesting someone's spying on them. With Louisa behind bars could it perhaps be perv Patrick? I thought that ending was cleverly done, which left room for a sequel that has not to-date materialised.

The ending was too easy
sharonmutizwa1 November 2023
I don't understand the thriller there....she didn't do her part justice at all Pushed down the stairs and thats the end of it?

Should have been more difficult and more struggles Patrick gave a wrong testimony to the police just because he was jealous of the marriage but he should have done more than that, it was like just a wasted character, And l thought Patrick was the obsessed one compared to louissa ....he should have played a part there And why was dan angry when he saw louissa's boyfriend...that was uncalled for.

Dan should have told his wife to stay away from his ex...that should have been more appropriate.

Could have been higher.

Typical Lifetime "thriller" with attractive actors...Alicia Z. is easily a natural beauty who has fallen. Not many men are really into women who want a body like a man.

Best comedy of 2022!

I laughed so hard my tits fell off which is a true story because I went to see my plastic guy for some new ones. IMDB is killing my impact statement saying I need to type more - won't make my tits grow back tho.
