Surface Level

This was a surface level look at social media's effect on society. It did not challenge the influencers in what they were doing and how they negatively impact people's lives by promoting self hate. It did not examine the positive aspects of social media. It didn't even follow a coherent storyline. Underwhelming. You could go to these influencers' instagram page and get the same amount out of it because it was pretty much an hour long spot for a select few influencers.

This doc is a cautionary tale of the effects of excessive use of social media, including compulsion, consequences, and false expectations. Food for thought. Be present daily!

Short but interesting

I enjoyed watching this film. It was an interesting look at the psychological effects that social media has on our society. Things that have become normalized are actually analyzed and it has an interesting mix of social media influencers and their stories
