The South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) has released a glossy booklet, which features photography of some of South Australia's film locations that have been seen in previous high-budget films. The brochure is...accompanied by an interactive DVD that contains more footage of what SAFC CEO Judith Crombie calls South Australia's unique landscape. In 2001-02, the film industry in South Australia employed 450 people and generated $A36m for the state's economy...".
A closing title card seen during the closing credits of this DVD's 'Showreel' segment reads: "The South Australian Film Corporation thanks the Producers, Directors, Writers, Cast and Crew who have made the last 30 years possible."
This DVD contains the following segments: 'Introduction', 'About Us', 'Showreel', 'Locations', 'Locations Recce', 'Contact Us', and 'Studio Facilities & Services'.
South Australian filming locations are divided into twelve regions. They are: Adelaide [the city and suburbs], Adelaide Hills, Barossa [aka Barossa Valley], Clare Valley, Eyre Peninsula [includes the state's South-West Coast], Fleurieu Peninsula, Flinders Ranges & Outback [this can be divided into two regions with part of the Outback representing Central Australia as well], Kangaroo Island, Limestone Coast [this includes South Australia's South-East region], Murraylands, Riverland [the last two are both associated with the Murray River], and the Yorke Peninsula. The Adelaide Plains region is between Adelaide and the Yorke Peninsula.
