That was hilarious

The Lonely Island strikes back with another hit and this time Andy Samberg plays an amusing menace to society as a non conformist guy who encounters nice people offering him things that ultimately are thrown to the ground because his character isn't a part of the "system". A sort of like pop/rap song sung by Samberg forms the ultimate background sound to a hilarious clip, one of my favorite discoveries during this year and one of the most addictive as well. Just couldn't stop watching.

Our anti-hero defies a guy offering him some energy drink; a hot-dog vendor who gives one for free since Andy is a regular costumer; his own girlfriend who alerts him about his father calling; a kid at a birthday party; and, as according to him, some Hollywood "phonies" played by Elijah Wood and Ryan Reynolds. They're all part of a system that seems to block the "adulthood" acts of our protagonist who keeps reminding us that he is an adult. The hilarious bits when he says "Maaaaan...!" is an overlooked icon of our times, fantastic delivery by Andy.

Usually, The Lonely Island always hit the core of us in providing us with humored situations, intelligent lyrics and gripping sounds; those qualities are also evident here but it seems this time they decided to give us something extra, a certain sense of taking a stance or some fun criticism on obtuse immature individuals and their childish acts of rebellion against everybody just to prove they're special or worthy of attention from others. So, it comes with this bonus: a first-rate jab at people who failed to grow up with their attitudes. But everybody's gotta learn sometimes and Samberg's character learns in the hard painful way with his rebel act used against him. Literally.

The easiest yet most rewarding laughter I ever had in a long time, those two minutes were graciously well spent and a lot better than many feature comedy flicks I've seen lately. Enjoy with no regrets cause their humor is the real deal. 10/10

Hands Down Funniest Short Comedy Video of All Time !!!
mgharter15 February 2018
In all honesty, do not think this video can be topped by anyone. It is a short work of pure comedy genius. I am a fan of most of Lonely Planet's videos, but this one blows them all out of the water. I've watched this video over the last 5 years probably a couple hundred times, and I laugh EVERY time. I enjoy most of Samberg's work (even though those Laser Cat videos are the worst). But this video kills it in every area. From the finger popping in Moynihan's face, to the ridiculously-idiotic looks on his face, to his d-bag wardrobe selections, and even to his creeping over the table after flipping it. Not to mention Elijah Wood's seemingly sick fascination with anal torture. Hilarious!!! Everyone in the video seems to be looking at him and asking themselves, "What Planet did this d-bag come from?"

Andy Samberg throwing stuff on the ground

Warning: Spoilers
Check out the title of this "movie" for the name of the band and song you are about too hear in these roughly 3 minutes that are basically a SNL sketch. It is the usual Lonely Island routine about truly pointless lyrics acted out in the most pretentious manner as if they were very deep and significant. I know it is all a joke, but it is one that has gotten old really quickly now. People are still watching this almost 10 years after its release, but I don't know why. Brief camos by Slate, Wood and Reynolds are not making things better, rather on the opposite and they manage the impossible, namely to have Samberg not be the worst aspect of this clip. Not catchy, not funny and certainly not relevant. I give this one a big thumbs-down and don't recommend checking it out. Also shame on them for wasting actual food for this garbage with millions starving.
