Breathtaking
jamiemchampagne14 September 2019
I've always loved Moving Art, but with the cinematography in Season 3... they've really outdone themselves. I find myself sitting and watching, mouth agape, unable to look away from the beauty that is being framed: our very own world! Such a beautiful sight to behold.

If you love animals and nature, this is a must-watch
moviebuff-9019129 November 2019
I love animals and I love nature, I recently saw this Moving Art advertised on Netflix and I decided to watch most of it. This is a beautiful Series, the nature, scenery, wildlife sounds and animals are fascinating, the camerawork and photography are awesome along with the serene music. Earth truly has beauty in it.

I love it

I don't know what people are complaining about it's art, nothing more, if you don't like the music it's called the mute button. Enjoy.

Season 3 Only On Netflix
jamnee-5582523 March 2023
I am in awe of the Moving Art series. Each season gets better but they are all great. It is a great combination of beautiful places and inspiring music. Season 3 is amazing with scenes from New Zealand and Japan. To my knowledge Moving Art is the best of this genre and I highly recommend it with one major caveat that keeps me from watching Season 3. Netflix.

I was able to buy a subscription to Seasons 1 & 2 which I greatly appreciate. However there seems to be no way to watch Season 3 other than on Netflix. So I have to pay a monthly subscription to Netflix to watch Season 3. Not willing to do that.

Exceptional
abinewton0723 August 2023
Ive never watched anything like this before and it truly was beautiful and unique.

I loved the underwater and marquesas island episode the most as seeing the people of these beautiful places and their culture is really interesting.

My only reason for this not being a 10/10 is i do think the episodes were slightly too long to hold attention. There was one episode at nearly an hour and as beautiful as it is, i do think shorter 10/15 minute episodes would of been better. More episodes but shorter in length would of been perfect.

All in all a must see, even if you just catch a few episodes it's well worth it.

So underrated

I love how there is no commentators on this show. They leave the viewers to interpret the nature how they see it. The cinematic photography was unbelievable. Also, the soundtrack was on spot.

Just outstanding documentary. Why no one knows about it. That is sad.

Absolutely stunning!

Love this series....amazing cinematography and find the music peaceful and a wonderful complement to the visuals. Appreciate that with the music, the viewer can also hear the waterfalls, birds, and other wildlife. Thank you, thank you!!

Gorgeous scenery and cinematography but the music lets it down
susanmphysio31 October 2018
Absolutely stunning photography and beautiful vistas. If they had just left it with natural sounds, this would be my favorite thing to watch. But unfortunately the music is repetitive and boring. It would be great if Netflix could provide the option to watch it without the music track.

Beautiful Images
cindytaber-9392717 August 2021
I love the images but the music is distracting. Why can't nature be nature in all its glory. Why do we need some distracting music! I want to hear nature be nature.

Please let nature be left alone it is it's own symphony.

Moving Art Episode 1 and 2
allen-7210 December 2019
I want this to be amazing. I'm a fan of Baraka. But for me, this is like Baraka with a lobotomy. 50% of the Images are wonderful while 50% are banal (sunsets really?). Love the underwater work... all of it.

The death of this series is the uninspired driveling easy listening music. It's like a child drawing with 3 crayons. Cute for literally 1 minute, but so beneath the imagery. If you had a piano with no black keys any of you could make this never ending cute diatonic music.

Nature isn't just cute it's awe inspiring. Nature has life and death, it's not merely relaxing.

I don't hate this series but will simply play it with other music while watching. Or I would leave it on in my house gladly with no audio. If these images were edited to dramatic dynamic music, the final product could grab you by the throat and never lets go. Like Baraka. Don't let me stop any of you from watching. It's just my crabby opinion I admit. I'm sure a lot of dedicated artists put a lot of time into this.

Images are good, Sound and Editing are terrible
michellekwruck29 September 2019
The sound is merely trite, but the editing is atrocious. It's like the editor wants to constantly tease you with the evolving nature of beauty only to snatch you away before the climax, over and over and over again. I would say 90% of the scenes end right before completion - either right before a flower or fern settles into full bloom or right before you crest the mountain you've been traveling along. It's a weird sort of torture. If only they had let us linger a beat or two in these beautiful places, it would have been spectacular.

Another problem with the editing is that the content jumps from location to location with no apparently connection. You could tell a story with nature images and music but there is no story being told here; it's just a random assortment of seemingly disconnected pretty places.

The images are gorgeous, after all, these are beautiful places. Some of them are even stunning, especially the close ups of waves, flowers, mushrooms, or birds. Unfortunately, a lot of the series comes from drone pass-overs. Not that these aren't beautiful but they just feel very distant.

Overall, the series leaves you feeling like a visitor, like you're driving by on the highway almost, instead of giving you a feeling of intimacy or connection with the natural world. Very disappointing.

Looks Nice, but Speed of Film is distracting
socceruci26 September 2019
I found this hard to watch as the filmmaker constantly changed the speed of the first episode, first 5 minutes. I just want to see nature as the same speed as nature is. Why adjust it constantly? I find myself constantly thinking the film is edited, not believing this beautiful nature is real.
